March Sketch by Mel

Hi! It's Mel here.
For us Victorians...wasn't it lovely to have a long weekend...such a shame it went by so quickly.......no where near enough scrapping time.
I threw myself well and truly out of my scrapping comfort zone this weekend. My pack from Jo contained "pink". I don't do pink and I think Jo knew. I am a Mum with a little boy.....and a boy boy at that!
Anyway I was very excited because I do have two gorgeous nieces......one only being 51/2 months old......and these papers and embellishments were so suited to them!!!
Here is the layout I have created using the March sketch...
I have used the We R Memory Keepers - Be My Valentine (Sweethearts and Together) papers; Core'dinations cardstock (Snowflake and Heartfelt); White cardstock; Pearl Glimmermist; Thickers - Sunny - Glitter Foam Letter Stickers; Organza Ribbon, Flower punches; Kaisercraft Rhinestones (pink); Kaisercraft Flower (pink); Petal Pink Versa Mark ink; quiling tool and paper and an unknown chipboard frame.

Here is a close up of the paper rolling, flowers, frame and paper tearing.
And another of the side details.
Here are those gorgeous glitter Thicker stickers. I just love them.....very easy to work with and a good number of repeated letters. I used the Kaisercraft flower to make the wings of my butterfly isn't she just gorgeous. It is such a shame that the photography doesn't show up the Glimmer Mist.....it just looks so pretty!
I just loved working with all of these materials and I am so over my fear of "pink"......pop in and see Jo at Scrapbookit or order them online to get your hands on them!
And.....don't forget to enter your creation into our challenge....we can't wait to see it!
Have a great week everyone!

Mel xx

  3. I love this Mel. So beautiful and lucky you had such a beautiful little girl to feature. I'm preparing to do some girly pink layouts after the birth of my new niece on Monday. It's not a colour I typically use either but have been trying to work it in lately. Fab work!
