SPEND SOME TIME IN ECHO PARK

This months challenge is a great one . It was set by a fellow design team member, rebecca. We were asked to create a layout using four main criteria. These were some wonderful ideas that helped to stimulate my creativity. So get your scrap brain going and join us in this challenge. The criteria were as follows :

               BANNERS ( 1 or many )
               STITCHING ( a lot or a little )
               DISTRESSED EDGES
               CIRCLES

And the photo was to be a 4 x 6 inch. Mine is more a square photo but it really worked with collection I was provided with. Speaking of scrap supplies, Jo sent me some wonderful papers and embellishments to work with.

Firstly my layout, I am happy with the finished product .

For this layout I used Echo park ( mini theme ) Dearest collection kit that contained some wonderful papers. The other items were :  Thickers chipboard letters stickers by American Crafts
                                                  Pink trim
Liquid pearls rouge color by Ranger
                                                  Paper flowers
                                                  Kaiser card stock
                                                  Red twine
All of these great products are available at the scrap bookit store, the link is :

There was also a great card challenge for this month as well and it was set by another design team member, Janene. We were to create a card design using pin wheels. I loved this project as I have rediscovered my card making mojo and I hope to see some of your creations to. For this challenge I made a masculine themed card using my other collection I was sent. I hope to send this to my Father.

For my card I used Echo park ( mini theme ) Family Man collection kit,  I really liked the colors of the papers. I also used some star brads and kaiser card stock available at the link posted above.

Please join in these great challenges and share your wonderful creations. Until my next post keep creating and happy scrapping.

Cheers, Andrew

  4. Excellent work Andrew, you are so good with layering. The layout is just beautiful, fantastic stitching (please tell me you machined stitched that blanket stitch?, if not you have the patience of a saint). Love the card too, very cool star brads.
