Marigold

Hello,
Mel here to share with you my latest project.

What an awesome challenge Jo! It was nice to get a bit messy in the process of creating. I was lucky enough to be able to create this month with the stunning 'Marigold' Collection from Kaisercraft. I am not into florals that much but these are such beautiful papers it was easy.

If you haven't heard....the challenge this month is to:-

* Use a mask
* Use mist
* Use string or twine
All in amongst this gorgeous sketch from Scrapbook Challenges.

 Well, I was a touch naughty.....I flipped my sketch over and turned the photo so that it was a landscape photo. I can see a resemblance to the sketch........maybe you will tell me otherwise!

My layout is a photo of my gorgeous friend, Anna and I at a Ladies Long Lunch. I have just realised that no where on my layout have I put our names or the date. I feel this is important for future generations so that they know who the people are. I better go and do that! Saying that I haven't really journalled.......but sometimes there is no more to say when you use a quote!

Here is my layout...

I have used the beautiful Kaisercraft Marigold Papers and Sticker sheet embellishments, bakers twine, Silhouette Cameo and Font 'SNF Infinity Bold,' The Crafter's Workshop 6x6 Template - Mini Rustic Paint, Mister Huey's Colour Mists - Dark Calico,  Kaisercraft Wooden Flourish - Ornate Frame.
Such a great little collection of yummy scrappy goodness I say!

Now to my card.
Janene has set a great card challenge this month. That is....
* Use embossing
* Use rub-ons
* Use a quote

The Kaisercraft - Marigold collection made this card easy for me. There are lots of quotes, tags and gorgeous elements that you can fussy cut.  Jo also popped in the rub-ons that go with this collection....too easy!

Here is my card...

The quote says.......
"Enjoy the little things, for one day you look back and realise they were the big things."

Now because I have mountains of time on my hands I thought I would make another card to show off how versatile this collection is.

Here it is.....

Well, I hope that this has inspired you to pop on by Scrapbookit and get your hands on some of this collection.....trust me you will love it!
Or maybe you are inspired to join in this months challenge....you have until the 14th March to email your entries to Jo (joanne@scrapbookit.com.au)  for your chance to win!

Make sure you check back over the next few days/weeks to see what the rest of our amazing Design Team comes up with.

Until then,
