Basic Grey - Stella Ruby Collection

Greetings Everyone!!!

Welcome to what is sadly to be my second last post as a DT member for Scrapbookit. I am sure by now you all know we are having a DT call, for details please see the top of this page. I urge you all to apply as I have thoroughly enjoyed my time designing for Scrapbookit over the last year.

My February DT kit from Jo contained a lovely collection from Basic Grey called Stella Ruby. This collection could easily be used for a number of different types of projects as it is very generic.

This months card challenge from Janene is to create a card for your BFF (Best Friends Forever). Along with the Basic Grey Stella Ruby collection of papers you can also purchase a die cut sheet containing heaps of different tags, so many different shapes and sizes. I decided to use three tags and also to dive into my much unused eyelet stash. I wanted to make something a little unusual and am quite happy with how this little card turned out (which will now be used for my BFF Bianca's Birthday).

Products Used - Basic Grey Stella Ruby Die Cut Sheet,  Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Cropadile, Tim Holtz Word Stamps, Kaisercraft Chipboard Hearts.

This month's Layout  challenge is a recipe for you to follow with what ever theme you like but your page must have only the following:
  • 1 word title
  • 2 pieces of card stock
  • 3 pieces of patterned paper
  • 4 embellishments
  • 5 photos
To create this layout I have fussy cut my flowers and branch and foam tape mounted them to give dimension. In order to use five photos I found a film strip template online and moved my pictures into place (with help from PowerPoint software). The photo of my layout below makes it look like my photos are superimposed on top of my photo, I promise you they are not :-).

We all look forward to seeing your entries for both the card and layout challenges. Please be sure to e-mail them through to Jo joanne@scrapbookit.com.au by the 14th April.

Wishing you all a fabulous and creative month.
