A fond farewell...

Hello Everyone,

Well it has been a year and sadly this is my last design team post for Scrapbookit. I would like to take this opportunity to send Jo a massive thank you for allowing me to be a part of the team and also for supplying me with a wonderful and very generous amount of product each month. It has been a pleasure designing for Scrapbookit, it was always a happy day in my house when those pizza boxes showed up :-). I would also like to say a thank you to Mel our design team leader, thank you for your friendship and support over the last year, it has fully been appreciated. Well actually now that I am on a roll, I would also like to thank Kerry and Janene, it has been a fabulous  working along side you both, thanks for the inspiration.

I have included below two last projects, one card and one layout.

For my layout I did not have much paper left at all, however looking around my desk I did have a rather large amount of scraps and off cuts. Thinking cap on, I got out my punches and dies and started cutting. The thin strips of paper did not even escape the rubbish bin, they were turned into little scrolls and inked, rather effective really. I had a few off cuts of burlap, really odd shapes and tiny bits, they were put to good use also in small gaps. The heart shown was cut from a split delivery box, I divided the cardboard to cut a corrugated heart. Lesson here is do not simply swipe what you think is rubbish straight into the bin, take a look, you just may be able to put it to good use.

Products used - Basic Grey - Stella Ruby collection, Walnut Distress Ink, burlap, Kaisercraft Memories Wording, Tim Holtz Die.

Again for my card I used scraps of paper and loose odds and ends. Note - burlap cuts very nicely with dies through either your Cuttlebug or BigShot.

Products used - Basic Grey - Stella Ruby Collection, Walnut Distress Ink, burlap, Tim Holtz Stamps, Tattered Floral Die, Elegant Flourish Die, Kraft card stock.

Well as a famous Looney Tunes character said, that's all folks.

As always I wish you a fabulous and creative week!!! (and year).
