Sweet Girl ~ Echo Park

Hello,

It feels like forever since I last posted....actually it probably has been forever!

Well, what a start we have had to our new month with our gorgeous new DT members ~ not to mention of fearless leader, Joanne.
Did you see Joanne's gorgeous layout Shhh!??
Ruby has shared an amazing layout Inky Trees
and Brenda has showed us all her gorgeous style with I Love You's

Don't I have some big shoes to fill???

This month's challenge has a few different components....

1) Use the following sketch to create your layout. Remember we welcome creativity but we must be able to recognise the features of the sketch.

2) Your layout must feature paint in some form.

3) You must use washi tape.

All pretty easy really....

I was so lucky to receive the Sweet Girl kit from Echo Park this month. I rarely use girly papers so I have thoroughly enjoyed this range. I have created lots of different things using the kit so make sure you keep your eye out throughout May to see what I have been up to.

My layout is of one of my gorgeous goddaughters Aimee. This was when she was a little younger ~ finally I have found the right kit to use with these photos!

Here is my layout....

As always you can find all of the products I have used in the Scrapbookit Online Store. If you can't find what you are looking for send Joanne an email joanne@scrapbookit.com.au

As I said I have used the Echo Park - Sweet Girl collection. The background paper was a little stark initially so I used some Tim Holtz Distress Paint "Picked Raspberry." I dabbed it randomly and then used an old iTunes card to scrape it along the page.

Then I had the issue that this was too bright so I used some white paint in the same way to dull down the pink.

Then I have used one of the journalling cards, some cute embellies from the Sweet Girl ~ Element Sticker and Alpha Sticker sheets.
I have also used a doily from Kaisercraft.

Check out a close up here....

Now....did you find my washi tape?
Well, as always I am a little naughty and push the boundaries and yet again I have done that. The washi tape is under the photos....but I have cut it up!
Yes....there was a purple heart in this washi tape and it just wasn't right so what do you do...yep just cut it out!!!!!

Well, that is my layout for this month's challenge.
Have you entered yours?

We have a huge week this week at Scrapbookit. We are leading into our Retreat. We are all very excited and looking forward to a great weekend.

Hope you all have a great week.
