A little bit more Curiosity

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the weekend and welcome to my second post for this months challenge.

Whilst I haven't followed the challenge rules I have decided to show case the gorgeous products that I received from Jo this month.

This month I received the gorgeous range from Authentique ~ Curiosity.
On first look at this range my thoughts were all school/learning based layouts. However, Jo challenged me to look a bit further by providing me with a Kaisercraft Wooden Bicycle from the wooden flourish range.

Here is what I came up with...

So as you can see I created a layout about the first time my little boy rode his bike without training wheels.
In my first post I spoke about the different ways that you can use Tim Holtz Distress Stains. This time I have changed the background colour of the dotted paper.

Here is a close up of the changed paper colour...

Here is a close up of the wooden bicycle and my journalling...

Rather than create another card I have created a little something that I thought might get you thinking about gifts for all of those wonderful teachers that have taught your children this year.
So using the Curiosity collection from Authentique I have created a Post-It Note holder. What every great teacher needs sitting on their desks.

Well that is another post from me...
Oh by the way....have you heard that we are having a Blog Hop?
Make sure you join us on October 13th at 7pm.
Have a great weekend,

Curiosity

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to another week and welcome to another challenge here at Scrapbookit....and what a challenge that is!

Joanne has provided us with a word challenge and Janene a bit of a romantic theme....both rather interesting and they definitely did get me thinking...which is great - keeps the cobwebs out of the mind!!

Joanne's word for the layout challenge is HOPE. For this challenge all you have to do is incorporate this somewhere in your layout.
I chose to use the word 'HOPE' as part of my title ~ "Hope for the Future"

I was very lucky to receive the awesome range "Curiosity" by Authentique.
Here is what I have come up with...

Aren't the colours just gorgeous? These papers are a great addition to any school photos and layouts.
There is also a Details, Images and Icons Sticker page....this is just great for all of those little embellishments and journalling tags.
Have a look below for a close up...

I have also had a play with some Tim Holtz Distress Stain. There are so many different ways that you can use distress stains. All I did for this layout was swipe some across my card stock background. A rather nice affect - don't you think?
Why not grab yourself some distress stain or some of the Curiosity range by Authentique from Scrapbookit? Head on over to the online store by clicking here.

Now for the card challenge...

Janene's challenge this month is to use:
1. Hearts
2. Bling
3. Stickers
all in a romantic themed card.

I have used the back of some of the papers from the 'Curiosity' collection for this card. I used a template to cut the slits in the paper in the heart shape and then folded the sections back.
I have stitched around the edge of the patterned paper and have used a faux stitch around the edge of the punched hearts.
I have used some mini stickers and sayings for the sticker element of my card.

Remember you have until the 14th of October to get your entries into Joanne. Send a photo of your entries to joanne@scrapbookit.com.au Head on over to the Scrapbookit Gallery to check out all of the entries.

Please don't forget to leave a comment here and on all of the other DT girls posts as they come along....we all love to hear some feedback about our work!

Have a great week everyone,
