Another Paper Inklings Layout...

Hello Everyone,

Have you put your DT Application in yet? If you haven't why don't you....

To apply you must create a layout based on the sketch (below) by Pagemaps.com, you must also send in two other recent layouts, tell Jo a little bit about your scrapbooking journey, link your blog, and answer this simple question: How will your position on our friendly team enhance the 'Scrapbookit' business???
This position will be for 12 months and DT members will receive products each month to create with.

How good does that sound??? Too good to refuse I bet!

Here is this months sketch:

This month Jo sent me the Paper Inklings range. For the sketch (my last blog post) I used the Paper Inklings Australian Flag papers to create an ANZAC Day layout. Jo also sent me the Paper Inklings Aussie Stamps paper and keeping with the theme of ANZACs I have used this paper to create a layout of my Pop in the army during WWII.

I have used Kaiser Cardstock (white, green and black) coupled with the Paper Inklings paper. I inked the papers with a Kaisercraft sepia ink pad.
I have also used some tulle and inked it for another dimension to the page.
I used some string and have created my own embellishment using a beer bottle lid.
Check it out here.....

Whilst it didn't quite turn out like the ones Geli Duncan did in Scrapbooking Memories Vol 14 No 4 it still looks like they are from the WWII period and they have aged beautifully.

The American Crafts Thickers I have used are 'Doll' and are fabric letters.
Here is another close up.

I really love how this has come together....a great way to share some history!

Make sure you pop on over to Scrapbookit - apply for a DT position and grab some of these Paper Inklings Papers for ANZAC Day....it is just around the corner!
Thanks for popping by,
