Simple Stories : Simple Moments

Well another challenge has rolled around. It was great to see the entries in last months challenge and congratulations to the lucky winners. I hope you will join us this month as well. I must say I had a wonderful time creating this month with the lovely collection Jo sent me. Simple Stories have some fabulous products to work with and I was thrilled when Jo gave me the opportunity to work with the Summer fresh collection kit. It has some wonderful papers to use and it was a challenge to decide what to select for my layout. For this lay out the challenge was set by kerry another wonderful design team member. We were asked to do the following in our page designs :
                        - three different sized photos
                        - three arrow shapes
                        - three buttons
                        - three patterned papers ( I went over on the patterned paper but the collection was so
nice I could not resist )

This collection has a whimsical country feel and gave a fabulous result so head on over to the scrapbook-it store, on line or in person and pick up these fabulous papers. In the creation of my layout Jo gave me some other wonderful products that I have incorporated in to my layout. These included
               - great neutral colored buttons
               - kaiser , coredinations and kraft cardstock
               - royal blue ric rac

I also had some things left over from previous kits and I have incorporated card stock scraps and star brads in the centres of my small flowers.

As part of the collection kit there were some wonderful card stock stickers and all of them are incredible but I chose to use the sun and cloud in the centre top.

I also was able to create from this collection a great card. Janene has asked us to create our cards incorporating a frame in the design as the card challenge for this month. My frame was created using a lace martha stewart punch around the page set.

I would encourage every one to enter this months challenge and see what they can create. I hope my projects will inspire you to share your work with us all.

Cheers, Andrew
