Happy Days - Basic Grey, Soleil

Hi Everyone,

Rebecca back again to bring you another layout created using Basic Grey's Soleil collection. Photographed here is my wonderful little friend Darcie, such a cutie. I wanted to make this layout girly and was super keen to try to make some flowers using punched hearts. This is a technique that is SUPER easy and rather effective. All you need is a heart shaped punch (or patience with a pair of scissors).

Punch a heart, ink the edges, fold in half and then fold down the top right hand corner. Once you start placing you can use these folded hearts for flowers, leaves or other decorative items on your layout. A great way to create a perfectly coordinated embellishment.

Have you joined in our scraplift challenge for the month yet? we all very much look forward to seeing your wonderful creations. P
lease be sure to e-mail your interpretations through to Jo at Joanne@scrapbookit.com.au
by December 14th. You can pop on over to the gallery (click here) to check out all of the entries.

This will be my last post for 2012, I look forward to returning in 2013 with more crafty creations to share with you. I wish you all a happy festive season and an excellent new year. Please all take care and keep creative!
