Good morning Scrapbookit readers! It’s Ruby here, with a
simple easy-to-make mini album with products you have at home.
For my birthday, my boyfriend bought me a Polaroid Camera. I was absolutely over the moon, and greatly treasure this gift. I wanted to scrapbook my polaroids, but more so, the story behind them and keep the focus entirely on the photo.
For my birthday, my boyfriend bought me a Polaroid Camera. I was absolutely over the moon, and greatly treasure this gift. I wanted to scrapbook my polaroids, but more so, the story behind them and keep the focus entirely on the photo.
Bo Bunny’s ‘Mama-Razzi’ and Echo Park’s ‘Oh, Snap’ papers
are perfect for instax/instagram photos as they’re all about photography and
the vintage. I mounted some of the Bo Bunny paper onto some cardboard I found
lying amongst the rubbish on my caravan floor. I brushed over some white paint
to dull down the colour a bit and embellished from there.
I wanted to mount the Polaroid graphic where, with Thickers,
I titled the album… however I found that I had no mounting tape. Instead, to
get more depth and strength with my mounting, I layered old, unwanted chipboard
pieces on top of each other. This is a good opportunity to use up those
hundreds of z and x chipboard alphabets that you may have lying around.
Inside, I kept the contents simple by taping my Polaroids
onto white cardstock and journaling with a felt tip pen.
To bind the book I used a hole-puncher and some twine to tie it together. A very easy way to make a mini album and one in which can be expanded at any time! Let me know if you’ve ever done this or plan to! I’d love to see!
Have a wonderful, inspired week. R xx
