Hello everyone, I'm here again with another post for you.
This is my take of the March Challenge set by Mary and
boy have I enjoyed it. Mary set the task of needing to use
Texture, Layers and the title was to be from a song or from
a quote. I instantly had a photo in mind, I just needed to
find it. A hunting I did go. Oh no it is a pic of my son
playing a guitar and I had flowers to work with. Beautiful
papers by Kaiser Craft - Limelight Collection and flowers.
Ummmmm
New plan..... my results
If you know your `rock and roll` you will know that this beautiful
lady with her arm around me is Suzi Quatro. Yes I was very lucky to
get to meet Suzi in January this year and spend some time with her
before watching her tour. She is one truly very special and lovely
lady. It is a day I will always remember.
As you can see from my title it is from one of Suzie's songs
The Wild One.
Now I'm not going to say the wild one is me, but I'm not saying it
is Suzie either. I think I will let all of you decide which one it is :)
I was a little bad with this challenge and I didn't use as much
texture as I should have. I used a small flower template by Kaiser
Craft and modelling paste. I left the modelling paste plain this time
as I thought it looked better with the colors I was using. I used my
new Kaiser clear stamp - Honeycomb with green ink on top of the
paste and in a couple of other spots.
The beautiful flowers and golden/green vine are all available
at the Scrapbookit store. Jo has so many different flowers to
choose from. As you can see in each of the pics I have layered
the kaiser Craft - Limelight collection papers after distressing
the edges of the papers. I also used the limelight collectables
pack and clustered some of them. I also used a paper doily.
This guitar is by Kaiser Craft and I have inked it with brown and
then I used Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint - Clear Rock Candy.
I hope you have liked my take on the challenge and that you have as
much fun with it as I did. You still have plenty of time to join in. Also
don't forget to stop by the Scrapbookit store for all you see on our
creations and for anything else you need. Jo has so much.
Happy Crafting
Hugs Brenda
