A True Friend Is A Gift To Cherish

Hello everyone Brenda here again. Welcome to the Scrapbookit Blog
for my post for the June Challenge. I was lucky to have Jo ask me to
set the challenge for June and I hope you have fun joining in.

The challenge is to -
Scrap a photo of a friend.
Your layout must have the word friend in the title and have
journaling which is more than a couple of words.

This is my take and I hope it gives you some inspiration. The photo is
of my son Riley and his very special swimming friend Shogo.

The papers and embellishments I have used are from the Kaisercraft -
"Game On! Collection". I was so lucky to get these to work with this
month. They are just a perfect range if you have sporting people in
your life like I do.

The chippie is by WOW. I used modeling paste on it and then sprayed
it with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst - Blue Hawaiian Blue.

The collectables come in two different packets. One is Ewquipment
and the other Awards. I placed a little gorse on it too which I colored
with Distress Ink - Faded Jeans.

I used some sulky metallic cotton which Riley assured me had
a look of water :) All the other sporting ranges look just as great to.
On the white corrugated cardboard I sprayed a little Perfect Pearls
Mist - Turquoise and then dripped and let run some of it and also
some of the Lindy's Stamp Gang - Blue Hawaiian Blue. The edges
were inked with Distress Ink - Faded Jeans.

Well ladies as you can see I had sport papers and still managed to
use the word friend in my title (I was a bit concerned when I first
saw the papers what I was going to do. I had set the challenge and
Jo made sure she challenged me. Thanks Jo) This photo was just
perfect when I looked though my ever growing stack of photos.
The rest went easy, so join in the fun, get your creative on and your
take on the layout in.
Don't forget the Scrapbookit store has the entire "Game On! Collection"

Hugs Brenda
