Good Morning and Welcome to all our visitors,
Can you believe it's November?? I am not sure I'm ready for this month but you can't turn back the clock can we.
Our challenge this month is set by our New DT member Tania Ridgwell and I must say I loved getting messy and inky for this one.
Tania has set us the awesome job of creating a 'Mixed Media' project which must include using spray/mists and chipboard.
Here is my first take:
I had fun creating this 12x12 Canvas using the new 'Bloom Girl' Stencil' which I used Black Gesso to make the outline. For my background I sprayed the new 'Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stains', I used a combination of tarnished brass and antiqued bronze. I also used a Kaisercraft Stencil 'Lattice' with a Gel medium to create more texture. The chipboard butterflies are from WOW, I have coloured the stenciled butterflies with Lindy Stamp Gang 'Magicales' and added some 'artingrdients' Mica Flakes Gold leaf to her hair. Stamped some Darkroom Door image stamps and hand journaled my quote.
My second project:
Entries for this months challenge can be e-mailed to joanne@scrapbookit.com.au or you can upload your project into the in-linkz in the side bar. Entries close 30th November 2014.
I hope I have inspired you to get your 'Mixed Media' mojo into gear and join in the challenge. Make sure you call back often to see how the other DT girls take on the challenge.
Happy Scrapping
JO xx
