Welcome to April!

Welcome everyone to April!
Who can believe that the Victorian school term is over? It is nearly Easter...the year is going so quickly.

This month we have a new challenge for you that will suit all of those scrapbookers out there who love including more than one photo on a layout. As a matter of fact...this month it is even a double layout!!!!

So the requirements of this months challenge are:
*Follow the double layout sketch (below)
*Add texture
*Add stamping
*Add flowers

Thank you Pagemaps...love this sketch!

Here is my take on the challenge...

I have been lucky to be able to play with some new products this month. Firstly, the paper collection, the gorgeous P.S. I Love You from Kaisercraft. Such gorgeous colours and just perfect for the wedding photos to come out again.

I have also played with the Tim Holtz - Distress Oxide Inks. These are new on the market and I just love them! For this layout, I have used them with my blending tool around the outside of the layout. It has left them with quite a soft, chalky look.

I have used some of Lindy's Stamp Gang Spray. However, rather than adding water to the bottle I have spread the powder around the layout and sprayed with a small amount of water onto the layout.

You may not be able to see my texture in these photos. I have created it as part of the background using Colour Blast Colour Paste - Snow White and one of the new Kaisercraft Mini Designer Templates called Rough Grid.

You may not be able to see my stamping either,  however,  I have stamped several Kaisercraft Clear Stamps including a musical score using black and lattice effect (one end of a stamp) using white.

I have included several little bunches of flowers around the layout.

The 'forever' is part of the element sticker sheet which is matched to the Kaisercraft collection. I have changed it's colour though and I have used Versamark ink to do so.

All of the products that I have used for this double layout have come from Jo @ Scrapbookit.

  1. Awesome double lo, glad you are getting those wedding photos scrapped. Might have to save some of that pretty paper for a special event.
