I hope you are enjoying the change in weather. it's great for having
a good reason to stay inside and scrap :) It's the one I'm using at the
moment as much as I can get away with it.
After Jo inspiring you all with her beautiful layout I hope you are all
underway with the challenge. When Jo asked me to set the challenge
for this month it was Mothers Day. I new straight away what I wanted
to do.....A sketch with my mother in mind.
I chose a photo from my wedding day. I was going to be a mum and I
had by my side my Mother and Grandmother. The two most beautiful,
people in my world. There is nothing like a mothers love. It is always
there and unconditional.
I was so lucky to be able to use the beautiful On This Day Collection
by Kaisercraft. You can get these from Jo's on line store and after
using them I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.
Everything on my layout is from this range except the chipee from
Twiddleeybitz (which Jo also has). I used the rub ons, the sticker
sheet and of course the 12 x 12 patterned papers.
I love my die cuts and new my doily would go well and I have
lightly inked the edge. The bird on the top of the layout and the
flowers in the closeup above are cut out from the papers and raised
up with dimension tabs. I love to fussy cut.
On this layout I chose to place my journal in a die cut envelope.
Just a little letter for my sons about how people and their love
can come and go from their life.....but never a mother's love.
From birth it is in your heart forever.
I told them of my love for my mother, their Grandmother and my
Grandmother (Oma), their Great Grandmother (Oma).
I just loved this challenge and the beautiful papers I got to use. I hope
you all stay warm and get into this challenge too. Don't forget to pop
on over to the scrapbookit store and remember if you don't see what
you are looking for just e-mail Jo and she will help you out.
