Together is my favourite place to be too!

Morning everyone and welcome to Scrapbookit on this gorgeous Sunday morning!

I am back today to share with you another project for this month.

As you have seen all month we have a wonderful challenge set by Jo this month.

To enter in this challenge you need to create a layout using the sketch below. Your title must be "Together is my favourite place to be" and you must use Gold on your layout.

For this layout I have created I have used two of the challenge rules. Firstly I have used gold on my layout and secondly I have used the title. I have used some aspects of the sketch but not all.

Here is my layout...

I have again used the gorgeous Bo Bunny - Star Crossed paper collection. It is just so easy to use. Make sure you pick some up at Scrapbookit, it is perfect for your next project!

I started off by lightly spraying my background paper with Colour Bloom Antique Gold spray mist.

I have added gold to my layout in a couple of ways...
1. The gorgeous little stars (above the top left of the photo) and the word smile - these are Heidi Swapp sticker words. I just had to use that word smile to draw attention to my gorgeous son's smile!!
2. I have used a gold versamark ink to add colour to the texture in the background.
I used a Kaisercraft Quarters template and modelling paste to create the initial texture. Then, once dry, I repositioned my template and lightly wiped over the texture using gold ink.

How cool are my hexagons? I used a template to cut them from 'Express It - Sticky Barc - Cherry' paper. This product is awesome...it actually feels like bark.

Here is a closer look at these features.

I finished off my layout with some Kaisercraft Washi Tape and some Kaisercraft Alpha letters. I tied some black wire around one of the hexagons and I outlined all of my letters with black fineliner to make them pop!

I included a little note to my son as my journalling around two of the layout edges.

I just love this photo and I am so excited with how the layout turned out. It definitely rates as one of my favourites!

All of these gorgeous products you can purchase at Scrapbookit. Either jump online, send Jo an email or give her a call. She is always so helpful with any requests you may have.

Make sure that you get your entry completed and linked in for your chance to win. Remember you need those 3 elements...
1. Use the sketch
2. Include the title
3. Use gold

All entries must be linked in by March 30 (that's tomorrow)!!!
If you can't add your link to the blog make sure you email it to Jo and she will pop it in the gallery for you.

Well I hope that you have been inspired to give this challenge a go...

I will be back tomorrow to share one last project with you using this gorgeous Bo Bunny range.

Until then...happy scrapping!
Mel x
