Picture Perfect Memories

Hi everyone it's Cindy with you today, thanks for joining me here.
Today I'd like to share with you the layout that I created for a class at the Scrapbookit Retreat, Jo held this weekend in Harrietville.... "Picture Perfect Memories"

For this layout we used any thick printed paper as our base, loads of gesso and some Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Sprays...

Loads of texture was created with gel medium and the fabulous Scrap FX chevron small stencil.  We also used a Doodad and Picture Perfect Memories from Scrap FX...

We also had a play with the Scrap FX Seed Stem stamp and the Darkroom door French script stamp...

To finish off our layout we used some Kaisercraft roses, a gorgeous doily and some cotton thread.... Remember all these great products you can get from Jo ...

Well that's it from me today, thanks Jo for having me teach at your retreat... what a great weekend
till next time
happy creating

Welcome to Cindy Porter

Good Morning Everyone
Well I am a bit excited to introduce our newest design team member here at Scrapbookit, the very talented Cindy Porter, has joined us for the next six months. Cindy is very clever when it comes to mixed media and a different style of scrapping to our other team members so I hope you are all inspired by her work.
Of course I would love to welcome back Mel Field and Brenda Caldow to the team, I am also excited to say that we will have a 'Special Guest Member' each month to share so many different styles of scrapping.
Please call by the girls personal blogs and leave some love anytime.

Hi everyone, it's Cindy here, I'm very excited to be able to share with you all my first creations for Scrapbookit....
First up I have a layout "Red Rock Canyon"
I created this layout using the Graphic 45  Typography collection, now who doesn't love Graphic 45.... along with the Graphic 45 I used some fantastic Scrap FX products (Chevron Stencil, chicken wire, Elm leaf stamp) I love the Scrap FX chicken wire, so many uses....

I also used a distress stain to create all the splats and drips on the layout, as well as to colour the corrugated cardboard and chicken wire.... I finished the layout off with some Kaiser lettering and by altering some of the flowers available from Scrapbookit....

Next up I have an altered project to share...
an alarm clock I altered using more of the Graphic 45 Typography collection, and more of the Scrapbookit flowers, along with some cogs cut from black cardstock

add to this a Scrap FX "moments" mini word to finish it off

Well I hope you've enjoyed these projects and are feeling inspired to create some of your own...
thanks for stopping by
Till next time, I hope you will share your latest creations with us over on our facebook page here
Happy Creating
