PEEK-A-BOO

Welcome back to www.scrapbookit.com.au!
Have I got a Layout for you! I Love this Layout so much the colours are so Vibrant and I had A LOT of fun making this page.

I have used a lot of mixed media in this Layout as well as some layering of the gorgeous Echo Park That's my boy paper range. This is such a Fun range to work with for all those boys pages that need scrapping!

To start my Layout I applied some water directly onto my white cardstock, I then applied some Dylusions Ink Spray in the colours Periwinkle Blue, Polished Jade and Calypso Teal sprayed this on to make "puddles" added a bit more water to let it run, then mopped up the excess with some paper towel. I love the effect I have gotten with these inks. The colours are just AMAZING!

When I was happy with my colours I applied some Gesso randomly with my Kaisercraft Cogs stencil, I added some stamping with some Black Stayzon ink and the Retro Kaisercraft stamp then added some doodling around the page with my Sharpie permanent pen.

I have added a few sheets of the Kaisercraft Basecoat then some of the Echo Park That's my boy paper range to give me a bit more colour to the layout.
I doodled around the edges of the paper added some stickers from the sticker sheet and added the yellow words which were from my stash.

Jo has such a large range of all different products in her shop, if you haven't had the chance to have a look lately hop online and go to www.scrapbookit.com.au to grab a bargain and replenish your scrapbooking supplies.

Jo will be up in a few more days with another awesome layout to share.

Teenagers!

Good Morning Everyone,

Welcome to my next post for this months challenge. Another month that is flying by!!

We have some fantastic challenges already entered for this month. If you haven't seen them head to our Facebook page and check them out in the October Challenge album.

Our challenge this month is a sketch and recipe.

Sketch

Recipe
1. You or U
2. Circles
3. Spray
4. Template/Stencil
5.Your Favourite Product

For this post today I am going to share with you a layout I have created with the fantastic Feature Art Teenagers Collection. It is a sensational paper for your teenagers no matter what they love to do.

I started with some Colour Blast Shimmer Dust. Once I had added the water I used a spatula (old credit card) to drag the colour down the page.

I added some random sections of Colour Blast Colour Paste in Just Blue, Tangareen Dream and Sunshine.

I have used the Kaiser Template Quarters (arrows) with some Dusty Charcoal Colour Blast Colour Paste to add some features in the corners and some Just Blue Colour Blast Colour Paste through a TCW template 'Mini Tile Mania.'

I used the Kaisercraft Graffiti stamp to give a grungy look and splattered with some Dylusions spray 'Black Marble'

I added some papers from the Feature Art Collection Teenagers and fussy cut out some trickster bike embellishments.

I have used the Kaisercraft Alpha Stickers for my title and have doodled a border around the page with a felt tip pen.

I loved how this turned out...the colours are so vibrant and suit the photo to a tee!

Don't forget to enter our challenge this month for your chance to win a prize pack and check back here over the next few weeks to see what else Jane and Jo have been up to this month.

Look forward to seeing your wonderful creations!

Welcome to October!

Welcome to October!

I am writing this post from our Spring Retreat...we have had an absolute hoot of a weekend, such a shame that anything good has to come to an end!
We have scrapped, laughed and celebrated our bride to be (Joanne ~ owner of Scrapbookit!) with a high tea and an Op Shop Bride and Bridesmaid dress up. I'm sure if you keep an eye on our Facebook page there is sure to be some photos posted!
Anyway, a great weekend!

I am here to share with you our new challenge for this month.

This month we have continued with a sketch (who doesn't love a good sketch) but this time we have a scrappy recipe to go with it.
So the challenge is to use this gorgeous Susan Stringfellow (http://sketchsavvy.blogspot.com.au/) sketch. Thanks again to Susan for allowing us to use her gorgeous sketch. To go with the sketch you need to incorporate the following five things...
1. U or You
2. Circles
3. Spray
4. Stencil/Template
5. Your Favourite Product

Here is what I have come up with...

This month I have used a variety of products. The majority of papers I have used are part of the Feature Art 'Teenagers' Collection. What great products for those teenagers in our lives!

I have started with a background "Speckled" from the Kaisercraft Basecoat IV Collection.

I have used the Kaiser 'Spotty' Template and some Heavy Gesso on the background. I then lightly sprayed over the gesso with Dylusions Ink Spray 'Periwinkle Blue.'

I used some of my favourite product Colour Blast 'Shimmer Cubes' in Sienna and Apple of my Eye to splatter around the background.

I have used the Kaiser Mini Designer Template - Splatter and the Dylusions paint 'Lemon Zest' for the larger yellow circles.

I then used another of my favourite products, Colour Blast Paste in Apple of My Eye, Dusty Charcoal, Tangareen Dream and Sunshine and a Scrap FX Circle Border Punch to create my circles around the layout.

The chipboard pieces 'Aaron's Arrows' I have used are from 2Crafty. I have painted them with the Colour Blast Shimmer Cubes in Apple of My Eye, Sunshine and Dusty Charcoal.

I have finished my layout off with a little embellishment with the word "You" on it from the Cocoa Vanilla 'You Rock' Collection, some little puffy stickers from Cocoa Vanilla, a white stitch line using a gel pen, a title using the Kaisercraft black Alpha Sticker Sheet and some twine.

You have until the end of the month to get your entry in for this month's challenge.
Don't forget you have several options for entering. You can link your entry via your online space with Inlinkz (see right hand panel), email them to Joanne for her to post them or post them to our Facebook page.

We can't wait to see your entries for this month's challenge!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check back for some inspiration from the lovely Jane and Jo throughout the month!
