Adventure and Fun

Hi Everyone,

I am going to apologise for the lack of description and information in this post.
I know, no excuses, but unfortunately for you my world is exploding at the moment with busyness. Please forgive me!

Just a reminder...
Our December Challenge is up and running.
For your chance to win...follow these simple steps to create your project.
1. Use a black background
2. Use photos with no people
3. Follow the Pagemaps sketch

Here is what I have come up with...

I have used the gorgeous PhotoPlay Paper "Summer Bucket List"

I have created my background using black paint and the gorgeous Colour Blast Shimmer Cubes. LOVE how it turned out!!!

I haved used a ScrapFX Wordlet as my title and have colourd some of the words in the Colour Blast Shimmer Cubes.

I hope you have enjoyed this "very short" post and hope that it has inspired you to create something for our challenge.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope that you are able to share some special times with your loved ones and your friends.

Enjoy!

Blast Off!

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my latest post here at Scrapbookit!

We have such a wonderful challenge set this month by Ruby. I love recipes especially scrapbooking ones!

The recipe for this month's challenge is as follows...
1 x Photo (any size)
2 x Paint colours
3 x Ribbons
4 x Circles
5 x Buttons

How easy is that??

This month I have been playing with the gorgeous new 'boy' range from Kaisercraft called 'Blast Off' I just love the masculine ranges of papers especially ones that I can use with my son.

Here is my layout using the above recipe and Blast Off...

How cheeky is that photo???

I have used Kaiser card and then used the 'Bubbles' 12 x 12 template to create a simple background. Both of these products can be purchased in store.
I used the template initially with texture paste, which I mixed some red paint into. I then also used some blue ink in other places. (I know, I know the recipe says two paint colours...it wouldn't be me if I was a little naughty with the rules!)
Here is a little close up...

I have used three ribbons on the tag I have tucked behind the photo. The tag contains my journalling. A great way to include journalling on such a busy page.

Here is a close up...

My circles are a little hidden. I have cut three circles from the patterned paper and slid them in behind the border frame. The other circle is a die cut from the Blast Off Collectables that says..."You're out of this world"
My five buttons are featured in the corners.

All of these products, including the little chipboard word 'Fun' by WOW can all be found in the Scrapbookit Online Store...click here to head over there now.

Don't forget to enter your challenge page by emailing your photo to Jo before the end of the month.

Our kids challenge is still up and running - what better time for the kids to do this whilst on school holidays!

I have some other little bits and pieces to share with you later this month as do the other girls so make sure you pop back in and keep updated here at Scrapbookit.

Looking forward to sharing with you again soon,

Mel xx

July's Challenge

Good Morning Scrappers,

Here we are into July already, as this post goes live Mel and I are about to start 2 massive days of classes and shopping at the Kaisercraft Retailers day so keep an eye out for some great new projects that we will be sharing and of course lots of new products to play with.

This months challenge is set by Ruby and it is a recipe to follow on your layout, you can have any theme you like but your project must have the following items.

1. Photo (Any size)
2. Paint Colours
3. Ribbons
4. Circles
5. Buttons

I loved this challenge so much that I created two layout, both very different, but still following the criteria.
The first one I have used the new 'Basecoat II' range from Kaisercraft and made a very minimal LO.
I have painted using a TCW Mask 'bubbles' and some fabric 'washi tape' (that's almost ribbon) and used my white gel pen to create my circles on the girls new shoes, some buttons from my stash and I'm happy.

In my second layout I have used lots of paint and some WOW chainlink chipboard. I have cut out a section of Simple Stories 24/seven range paper for my hexagaons and used some 'Flair' buttons, added a mixture of ribbons and my not so little puppy has been scrapped.

If you would like to enter into this challenge just send me a pick of your project @ joanne I'll put it in the gallery and you could win yourself a great pack of goodies and have your project featured on the blog.

As we didn't have any entries in the kids challenge I will leave this one open for this month and hopefully the kids will have time over the holidays to get crafting and use up there school pics.

I hope you have a great month, don't forget to drop by often to see what the DTM have to inspire you.

Enjoy the school holidays

Catch you soon
