Tis a 'Sweet Day'

Hi Everyone,  Rebecca back again to share with you the first of a few projects I would like to show you this month. My DT kit this month contained a wonderful selection of paper from Echo Park, it was their Sweet Day range. This range is so colourful and happy and has HEAPS of coordinating embellishments such as stickers, tags letters etc.

Our challenge this month was to create a layout using the following criteria.

3 different sized photos
3 arrow shapes
3 buttons
at least 3 patterned papers

I am very much a one photo per layout kind of girl, sometimes there will be more than one photo but at least 85% of the time I am happy to stick down one photo and one photo only. To use 3 photos and 3 different size photos, eeeek tough challenge for me I must say (thanks Kerry for pushing me out of my one photo comfort zone). I started my layout by covering my card stock with crumpled tissue paper, I cut out some clouds and then everything else just seemed to evolve from there.

Janene set our card challenge this month and the criteria was to use frames. As it is my best friends Birthday coming up I decided to make her a Birthday card. I really love how the string and tassel looks.

That's is all for today, hope I have inspired you to step out of you scrappy comfort zone. We would love you ALL to give our challenges a go. Please e-mail Jo with your entries.

Have a wonderful and creative day!!

  2. OH WOW! Bec these are amazing! I just love how your card is so personal for your best friend - I bet she will cherish that forever! I agree - I love how the string and tassel look. Your layout is stunning....I am with you...I struggle with more than one photo. I love your scalloped edges, your sewing and your gorgeous clouds...especially the one with the little swing. I just adore the colours in this range. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me xxx
