Live, Love, Life

Good morning everyone, thank you for joining us here at Scrapbookit this morning!

I'm back again to share with you a project using the gorgeous 'Now and Then' by My Minds Eye.

This time around I have moved away from this month's challenge to share something different with you.

Have you started creating your challenge entry? Make sure you do so that you can be in the running to win a prize pack from Jo. We already have some gorgeous entries.

So, today I have used the 3D Wall Art - Bird by Kaisercraft coupled with the Now and Then by My Minds Eye paper collection.

Check out my project...

I started off by painting the wooden pieces which all came separately. I used Jo Sonja's Warm White to do this. I then used the Milo"Friends" Fallow Paper to cover the background pieces.

The bird is covered in Milo "Inspired" Forest Paper. I have used a strip of the Milo "Inspired" Trees Paper for the strip and then have used a strip of the other side of the same paper for the second strip.

For all of these steps I have used Mod Podge. I am a little creature of habit and love to do things the way that they have always been done...so I Mod Podged to adhere the paper and then used Mod Podge as a sealant. This is great for Off the Page items that are going to go on display...it makes them easy to dust!

I have used a strand of bling, which Jo sent in my kit. I am not sure of the manufacturer? However, it was really easy to use. You could use it as a strand or cut individual pieces off which is what I did to create the birds eye and also for the centre of the little aqua Kaisercraft paper flowers.

The gorgeous cluster of roses is Blossoms by Vivaldi (manufactured by Ribtex). Again something really easy to work with. For this project I kept the roses together as one and folded the florist wire holding it all together in behind the roses. Then I just adhered them to the wooden piece using Pritt.

Here is a close up...

The rub on that you can see is part of a very very old Kaisercraft rub on quote.

Another close up...

The words 'Live Love and Life' are cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I just used the 'Apple Chancery' font for these.

A quick, simple project ~ what a beautiful wall hanging it will make.

Have you been following the blog and checking out what our very clever design team have come up with? Make sure you keep following along as the wonderful Cindy Porter is yet to share her take on the challenge later in the month.

Be sure to get your challenge entries in to Jo at joanne@scrapbookit.com.au for your chance to win.

Happy Scrapping,

Mel x
