Sunshine & Happiness

Hi Everyone,

How exciting has it been this month at Scrapbookit? A new DT member!!!!!

Welcome Jane! We are so excited to have you on our team!
Jane has started with a bang hasn't she??? The challenge and the layouts that she has posted this month have been amazing! I admire Jane's work and was so very lucky to sit with her at our last retreat in October...didn't get a lot done...totally in awe of how she matches papers and adds lots of little embellies, stickers and features to her pages. So, make sure you pop back in every month to check her projects out....very clever lady!

This month I have been playing with the bright but very gorgeous Simple Stories - Sunshine & Happiness collection. For those of you who know me well, Simple Stories is my fave! But this threw me for a little...I had to get my head around how bright it was.

Here is what I have come up with for the challenge where we needed to follow this sketch...

As I said I have used the gorgeous Simple Stories - Sunshine & Happiness paper collection.

Prior to beginning I used some of the very very gorgeous Colour Blast Paste in the Lipstick and the Sunshine colours as well as one of my Kaiser Templates to create some bubbly features and texture.
I also used some Kaiser Mists in Yellow and Turquoise. I took the stalk out of the bottle and flicked it over my page rather than spraying it.

I then added the papers. I have used three small photos from our trip to Disney World in 2015. I mounted them all on the same cardboard strip.

I added some journalling and some tags and stickers.

The last thing I did was create a cluster of embellishments in the lower lefthand corner. For this, I used some stickers from the Sunshine & Happiness collection and a 2 Crafty Word Circle Set 2 chipboard piece which I have coloured.
To colour, I used the Colour Blast Paste - Sunshine. I then embossed the outer circles with the gorgeous Colour Blast Embossing Powder - Lipstick.

I'm really happy with how it all turned out in the end. All of these great products can be found online at Scrapbokit or by emailing Joanne (joanne@scrapbookit.com.au)

Have you got your entry in yet for this months challenge??
Such a great one this month...all you need to do is create using the sketch.
Hope to see your entry on the blog really soon.

Hope you have a great weekend!
Be sure to pop back later this week to see some more DT inspiration.

Happy Scrapping!
