Christmas Day!

Christmas in July!

Welcome to my first Xmas in July post. I have had a lot of fun playing with the beautiful Prima 'Sweet Peppermint' paper range. It has been so good to get some of the Xmas photo's out to scrap.

To start off my layout I have used some Kaisercraft cardstock and applied some White Gesso randomly over the middle off the page, I have then added some Colour Blast Colour Spray in Love and some of the Lindy's stamp gang, Starburst in the Poinsettia Red Gold, I have applied this onto the page using the packaging technique.
I decided I wanted to use this picture of the Xmas table all set up nicely as I was so proud of the way I had made all of the table centres and had the table looking all nice and pretty ready for our Xmas dinner.

I have followed Mel's great sketch and added the criteria which was the letter C Challenge. I have used the letter C for my Christmas Day heading, I have used Colour Blast products and I have the colour Cream in my layout.

My Christmas Day Title I have used some of the Spellbinders- A Gilded Life foil pack and put it through my Sizzix machine with some Kaisercraft alphabet dies, I love the effect it has given to my page and will be using this technique a lot more with the other various colours in the pack.

I have inked around the edges of my papers with some Encore silver ink and I have also used some of this in my background with a small Christmas themed stamp.
The photo I have used is two 6x4 and simply just cut them in half then backed them with some red cardstock and then some red tissue paper.
The little cluster of Christmas Embellishments on the right hand side, I have fussy cut out of several different pieces of the patterned paper.

The little wooden arrows were from my stash and I have added a coat of Metallic Gilding wax in Frosted Aqua and then added some Glossy Accents over the top to make them nice and shiny.
I have also made some of my own embellishments using some nice Aqua sparkly paper then punching some small round circles with a hole punch and then adding a layer of Glossy Accents over the top. I have made my circle using some Twine and ribbon that I actually used on the Xmas day tables.

I hope you have enjoyed my Xmas in July Layout I look forward to seeing what you can all come up with.

Happy Scrapping
