Keep Calm and Party

Hello Everyone

Welcome to my second post for December and my last post before Christmas and for 2014!

This month Jo gave me the Kaisercraft - Pop! Collection to work with. This collection is just so awesome. You might recall that my first post was a layout that featured the colours orange, yellow and green. So very different to this layout I am here to share with you today. I guess that this just shows how versatile this collection is.

I decided to move away from the challenge requirements this time around and here is what I have come up with...

(I apologise about the photos...they were the best I could get!)

This photo is of my gorgeous god daughter. It was taken on her 3rd birthday party. She had her face painted and the theme of her party was the very popular 'Frozen'.

I have used the following items, all available from Jo at Scrapbookit.

Paper: Kaisercraft - Pop! Collection; Sticker Sheet
Kaisercraft Clear Stamps - Stains; VersaMark - Watermark Ink and Canary; Color Box Fluid Chalk Inkpad - Blue Lagoon; Metallic Melts - Glistening Snow and First Light; Kaisercraft Alpha Stickers - White; Kaisercraft Wooden Flourishes - Cupcake; Kaisercraft Rhinestones

Here is a close up of the title...Nothin' 'Frozen' about this party...

Here is a close up of the wooden embellishment. I have used the Tinby Designs - Metallic Melts - 'First Light' over the embellishment.

Another few close ups...

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my layout today!

In finishing, I would just like to firstly thank all of the wonderful design team members we have had on the team this year. What a wonderful display of projects you have inspired us all with each month.

I would most importantly like to thank Jo for generosity and for allowing me to be part of the Scrapbookit Team. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful 'boss' who feeds my scrapbooking addiction with such beautiful product each and every month. You are awesome Jo!

Finally, I would like to wish all of our blog readers and customers a very Merry Christmas. I hope that you have the opportunity to spend some very special time over the Christmas period with those that you love. May your New Year be a very prosperous one!
We look forward to your continued support in 2015!

See you all then ~ Happy Scrapping!

Another from Pebbles

Hi Everyone

Welcome to my second post for this month!
This month the whole design team has been using the papers from the 12x12 Pebbles Birthday paper pad.
You would agree that we have seen some awesome inspiration from the team, all using such different ways to share a great paper range with you.

It is also so lovely to look to the right of the blog and to see layouts from you! Wow...they are amazing...all with different elements from the tic-tac-toe board. Thank you so much for joining in...we look forward to seeing so many more this month.

Remember the challenge this month is to choose your inspiration from the tic-tac-toe board.

You can choose horizontal, vertical or diagonal...whatever takes your fancy AND if you add some of the other elements...that is OK too!

I have created a layout using the diagonal - bling, celebrate and flowers and I am sure that these elements will be very obvious to you in my layout.

This layout is using a photo from my niece's 3rd Birthday.

A simple layout...but I wanted it to be delicate and sweet...I hope that I have done that!!

I sprayed the 'Coconut Kaisercard' with Heidi Swapp Colour Shine ~ Primrose.

I used a Kaiser template and some texture paste to add some inconspicuous texture to the layout.

How gorgeous is the Manor House die cut??? Jo has plenty in store.

I have used some Kaiser flowers and Kaiser Rhinestones for embellishments.

Here is a close up...

I have used the Kaisercraft Birthday Clear Stamps for my little birthday message.

I have just loved working with this collection of papers. They are so versatile, bright and bring lots of fun to my layouts.

Make sure you pop on over to the Scrapbookit Online Store to check out the great products that Jo has instore.

I hope that I have inspired you this month...even just a little...so that you can enter our challenge. I look forward to seeing what you come up with...you still have 9 days to get yours in!!!

Thanks for visiting...happy scrapping!

Delight Two!

Hello Everyone,

I am back again today to share with you my second post for this month.

I have again created two different projects for you.

The first is a card...
I have used Kaisercard - Latte for the base of the card, the gorgeous Prima - Jodie Lee Designs - Delight Collection patterned papers, ribbon, flowers, rhinestones, a doily, the gorgeous plastic flag banners and Adorn it Alpha Letters.

Whilst creating this card I found a new use for my Copic Markers. I wanted the doily to be of similar shade/colour to the rest of the card. There was no way that ink would do it...well not the ink in my collection anyway!
How fantastic that my Copic Markers worked so well to change the colour of the doily. I used R11. I also used it to "ink" the edges of my papers.

Here is the result...

The second project was a little insert for a frame that I had bought at Target. I loved the frame and popped it into the cupboard for use at a later date when the right time came. Well, it arrived!

I have used again the gorgeous Prima paper collection - Delight and I have cut out the embellishment clusters in each corner from the patterned paper. I have used some Kaisercraft Washi Tape and a Kaisercraft Wooden Flourish - Dress Form.

I sprayed the flourish and the background of the design with Tattered Angels - Glimmermist - Pearl, which is very hard to see in the photograph. I have used Adorn It - Tiny Blue Alpha Stickers for the words 'Dream, Believe, Imagine'

Here is the frame and insert...

I just love the result...and so easy to achieve. I wonder whose birthday is coming up next??? I am all ready with a handmade card and gift...or maybe I'll keep them for myself!!!!!!

Hope you are working hard on all of those wonderful challenge entries.

Make sure you pop in and see Jo in store or contact her through the online store to get your hands on this gorgeous range of papers - Prima - Jodie Lee Designs - Delight Collection to create your next project.

Until next time...Happy Scrapping,

Mel x
