September Challenge
Welcome to my post for this month's challenge set by DT member Mel Field. As we celebrate Father's day this month, Mel has asked us to share a project that celebrates 'My Hero', use 4 patterned papers, Washi tape, twine and to make a handmade embellishment.
The girls have done a fantastic job showcasing their hero's so here is my take on the September's challenge.
I set myself a challenge to use what is predominately a Christmas range from Kaisercraft, the new 'Basecoat Christmas'. This range has some beautiful christmas papers but also the 'grunge style' paper that we know as 'Basecoat'.
I have to admit I struggled at first, but once I started it just flowed and I'm happy with what I created. I have added some of the new Kaisercraft washi tape, 4 different papers from the Basecoat Christmas paper pad, Kraft Thickers for my title, my handmade element is my tag that I have stamped with a 'Darkroom Door' stamp, I have used lots of Distress ink, Heidi Swapp colour mists, twine, and some new metal elements from Dlish. I have sprayed my muslin to blend with the colours. Of course I have used a photo of my man who is definitely my hero in every way.
Just a reminder that there is a 'Design Team Call' on, so if you would like an opportunity to join Scrapbookit's team send in your application by the 20th September. Details are in the sidebar.
Not long now until our Spring Retreat, lots of planning, and surprises are in the pipeline. If you know of anyone who would like to join in please let me know by calling 0407058604.
Have a great crafty week
