U R Invited

Good morning everyone and welcome to Wednesday!

A quick little post today to share with you another project using the Fancy Pants Everyday Circus Paper Collection.

I just couldn't resist with this paper to create a little invitation.
Whilst I have only made one how cute would it be to use this collection to make a set of party invites???

All of these products can be found at Scrapbookit.
Just send Jo an email...joanne@scrapbookit.com.au and she will happily organise the products to be posted to you.

You only have until tomorrow (30th) to get your entries to Jo for the October sketch challenge.

Pop back here tomorrow for a 'Product Spotlight' where I will share with you a newer product on the shelves.

Until then, happy scrapping!

My Little Daredevil

Hi Everyone,

Mel here again with another project using this months challenge sketch.

Here is the sketch again, in case you have missed it.

For this layout I have left the sketch as is.

Here is what I came up with...

Again, I have used the gorgeous Fancy Pants Designs 'Everyday Circus' paper collection.

I started with a piece of Licorice Kaisercard. I sprayed it with Heidi Swapp's Colourshine - Teal spray. I have used the patterned paper from Fancy Pants Everyday Circus collection for each part of the sketch. I used the negative of the circle cut for yesterday's layout for this layout.

I have again used the gorgeous Fancy Pants Everyday Circus Ticket Roll as an embellishment above my photo.

I have used three photos on this layout. I started with one 5x7" of Brayden out the front of The Great Moscow Circus. I then used  the same photo in a 6x4" over the top using foam tape.
I also used a photo of the circus tents and stuck it down between the other two photos.

How is your entry for the challenge going?

Can't wait to see what you have created!!!

Pop back tomorrow to check out my next little project!

Clowning Around

Goodmorning Everyone!

Mel here.
Isn't time just flying???...However, it feels like it has been a very long time since my last post!

Over the weekend we had a wonderful time at the Scrapbookit Retreat. For those who were there I assume that you would agree, for those of you not...you should be extremely jealous! We had such a wonderful time. Our theme was 'A Day at the Races' and our dress up night on Saturday was a real hoot! We had a lolly bar, lots of laughs (so many our sides hurt), we got plenty of scrapping done, prizes, shopping, amazing breakfast/lunches/morning teas and a great layout class by our wonderful DT Member Brenda.
A huge thank you to Jo for all of the hard work she has put in to make sure the weekend was a wonderful one for us all. We are so lucky to have access to such a great weekend at such a beautiful location.
We can't wait for March to do it all again!!!

Now for a small trip back in time...
Last month I set the challenge here at Scrapbookit! It was a lot of fun and we had so many AMAZING entries, thank you to all of those who took the time to enter.
I forgot to pick and announce the winner, which I sincerely apologise for.

So, without further delay I would like to congratulate

Mary Bennetts

for this gorgeous layout 'My Father My Hero'

Mary, Jo will contact you with the details for your prize.
Congratulations!

Now, back to the present!

This month Jo set the challenge for us to complete a layout using the following PageMaps sketch.

Here is what I have come up with...I twisted the layout one rotation to the right.

This photo was taken earlier this year when we took Brayden to the Great Moscow Circus.

I have used the gorgeous kit that Jo sent me to create this layout. All of the products featured here can be purchased from Jo. If you can't find them in the online store, all you need to do is email Jo and she will get it all organised.

This layout features Fancy Pants Designs paper collection 'Everyday Circus.' It is such a bright, vibrant paper range. I just love it!

I have used 'Coffee Bean' cardstock, Black Kaisercraft Ink, Texture Paste, Kaisercraft Clear Stamp - Texture - Stains, a circle and star punch, Foam Thickers - Delight, a tag, washi tape, twine, Heidi Swapp's ColourShine - Teal, Barn Door Distress Stain and tickets from the Fancy Pants Everyday Circus Ticket Roll.

Here is a close up...

Have you had a go at this challenge yet?
If not, you have until the 30th of October to get your entries into Jo for the chance to win a prize.

I look forward to sharing more of my projects with you tomorrow as we finish off a month welcoming our new DT Members.
Until then, enjoy the beginning of your week.

Christmas Baking

Welcome everyone,

I hope you are all recovering from a wonderful christmas break with family, friends and too much food as I know I am.

I would like to share another christmas layout I did with the 'Fancy pants Christmas' collection, this page I have also used lots of 'Viva Stamp Paint' on the 'Kaisercraft' wooden embellishments and the stamped xmas tree's. My title is a 'Bella' alphabet.

I love this photo of my son when we managed some time to do some christmas baking before the end of the school year.

I look forward to sharing more work with you in 2014, don't forget to visit soon to see who our next Guest design team member is, until then 'Happy scrapping'

Christmas Munchkin

Good Morning
Well it's certainly looking a lot like christmas here, I hope you are all enjoying the festive season and are playing along with our December challenge.

My layout for the challenge was created using  the new 'Fancy Pants' range Merry Little Christmas. I loved the colours in these papers with the browns, reds and teals. I have used two colours of 'Viva 3D stamp paint to create my background, I am loving the texture this paint creates. I also used some 'Heidi Swapp Colour Shine' and 'Dylusions' to spray my stars. Ive added some 'Kindy Glitz' to my thickers title to make it sparkle.

Here is a close up of the 'Viva 3D stamp paint' and the Colour Magic Stars,

Thanks for popping by and joining in with our Christmas cheer, can't wait to see what you have done with Amanda's challenge.

Happy Scrapping

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to Scrapbookit and to our September challenge!
Isn’t the year flying? It will be....................before we know it
(didn’t want to mention the actual word!)

I have set this month’s challenge....so you can all blame me!
When thinking about what to do I spotted my very large crate of rub ons that don’t get much of a go these days. Hence, why I thought that it might be good to use up some of these to create a background.

So, the details for this month’s challenge...

Create a layout using...

Rub ons to help create a background;
Chipboard;
and a
Handmade embellishment.

This month I was very, very lucky to get to play with a gorgeous paper collection ‘What a Wonderful Day’ by Fancy pants. The kit that I received was amazing!
Inside the kit there is everything you need to complete lots of wonderful projects.

Inside the pack there are...12 sheets of double sided paper; a label sticker sheet; a tape sticker sheet; a sticker fundamental sheet; an alpha sticker sheet and 2 sheets of corrugate paper - white and turquoise.

What an awesome pack and they are such gorgeous papers too!

Here is my layout for this month...

I have used the Fancy Pants pack (see materials above); Kaisercard - Coconut; Kaiser and miscellaneous Rubons; Kaisercraft Rhinestones - silver; Twiddleybitz - Chipboard Hot Air Balloon; Tattered Angels - Glimmermist - Pearl and Heidi Swapp - Color Shine - Mint Green.

You may be wondering what my handmade embellishment is?
Well, this time round I took the easy option.

The little clouds I have classed as my handmade embellishment.
Poxy, I know, but it wasn’t really the layout for flowers or anything really big and bulky!

Here is a close up of the Twiddleybitz Hot Air Balloon,
which I sprayed with Heidi Swapp - Color Shine...

Here is a close up of the paper ripping and rolling that
I have done so that I could hide some rub ons in the background...

And another close up...

Well, I hope you like my take on the challenge.

Have you heard about our retreat?
Are you coming?
It is very exciting...we have Melissa Kennedy, Kaisercraft Designer,
coming along to teach a class.
If you haven’t registered...you need to asap by contacting Jo at the shop or by email

Make sure you pop back in on the 14th to see our Guest Designer's take on this challenge....I know I am looking forward to that!

Looking forward to seeing your take on this challenge in the Gallery.

Until next time,

Mel x
