Rahni and Jackson.

Hello and welcome back to another layout here at Scrapbookit! I hope you have all recovered from your retreat hangovers and were able to complete lot's of Layout's at retreat.
I really missed not being able to go but I did manage to find a small amount of time to do some scrapbooking of my own.
The photo's I have used for this layout are some that are 11 year's old, I have been wanting to scrap them for a very long time but hadn't got around to it and I also hadn't had the right paper for them. I was very happy with how this layout turned out and was so glad that I finally had a layout with these photo's of my daughter Rahni and one of my best friend's little boy Jackson who were born 8 weeks apart.
Here's my layout!

I have used the Kaisercraft collection called Hide and Seek. This month I have used it on two very different layouts so it is very versatile.
I have started my layout off with some watered down tim holtz distress paint, I have then used some colour blast paste through my cute little heart stencil randomly all over the page.

The rest of the page I have used a lot of the patterned paper and then embellished with the stickers from the collection as well as the collectible's.
To finish my layout I have added a quick doodly border and it's finished.
Thanks so much for stopping by, Jo has a great challenge for us all next month so keep your eye out for more details at the start of the month.

Hazy Days 7 Dots Studio

Good morning and welcome to Scrapbookit,
today is the last post for October and there is so many exciting things happening.
So grap a cuppa and join in the fun.

Firsly I just wanted to share a couple more layouts that I created at our retreat at the start of the month. This month I am using 7 Dots Studio range 'Hazy Days', I love the grungy look of this range but it has been a beautiful background for my daughters Deb photo's.

I have used Colourblast paste 'Bling' through a Tim Holtz stencil, added a FWAB peasrl flourish, some Green Tara beautiful lace and from my stash I found some Martha Stewart paper flower. The title is from 2Crafty which I sprayed with a Kaisercraft mist.

I wish you could see the beautiful shimmer of the ColourBlast paste's on this page, they are just perfect. Sienna, Bling, Leather and Deep Water are the colours I have used.

I have added some Indigo Blu stamps to the background and some of the diecuts and stickers that come with this range. Love this photo of our catch up with my 18 year old xx.

Hazy Days 7 Dots Syudio

Welcome to another share of our wonderful challenge, set by DT member Mel.

This month we have a sketch to follow , which I love because it gives you a great starting point. We also have 5 other requirements to add to our projects.

1. U or You
2. Circles
3. Spray
4. Stencil/Template
5. Your Favourite Product.

So here is my take on the challenge

This month I am creating with the fantastic 7 Dots studio's 'Hazy Days' . This range is just great to create those pages that you want to look a bit grungy. I followed the sketch and have used different pages in the range. I have used a photo that has been altered with a filter from Facebook which I thought was a bit funky. My circles are a new product from ScrapFX and are a silhouette cardstock diecut, I have sprayed sections of my background with a 'ColourBlast' spray 'Saffron'.
Using my favourite product 'ColourBlast Paste' Leather this time, I have put it through a Kaisercraft template to give the splatter effects. The funky arrows are also from ScrapFx. My title is a lightbox letter that I have just glued in place.

Because we have just been to retreat I had the opportunity to get lots of pages completed, here is another page using the 'Hazy days'.

Lots of 'Deep Water' ColourBlast Paste, Lindy Stamp Gang sprays,ScrapFX chipboard and Kaisercraft Templates were used to create this page.
All available instore now.

So I hope you get some time join us for this months challenge. Entry closes October 30th.

Happy Scrapping

All you need is fairy dust!!

Good Morning,

Here we are at nearly the end of another busy month for our team at Scrapbookit. I think I have slowly recovered from our fantastic retreat weekend and have started organising the next one in March. If you are keen to join in on this fabulous weekend head on over to the Scrapbookit website and book your place now.

Today I wanted to drop by and show you a couple more project's I have done with the Kaisercraft 'Fairy Dust' range, firstly a layout using a photo of my girls at the Melbourne show.

Firstly I have added some dimension with some Matisse Light modelling paste and the 12x12 Wow butterfly stencil. I have sprayed some Kaisercraft Mists and using my Silhouette Curio I have cut out my title. Added some embellishments from the colletables pack and I was happy with it.

Here is a card I created with the plaited edge that a lovely lady (Wilma) showed us at the retreat, always learning from others is one of the reasons I love this craft and retreats. I was able to share this technique at card class on friday and it was a real hit with the girls.

Don't forget you still have till the 30th to get your entry in for the October Challenge : Girls, Glitter, and Gold. Why not check out the other entries in the side bar, some great takes on the challenge.

For now that's it from me

Happy Halloween everyone, don't eat to many sweets.

October is Here!

Morning everyone and welcome to October.
This month is a crazy one as we have our 'Spring Retreat' in a week and I am madly packing up the shop/ packing kits and also fitting in some scrapping.

The challenge for this month of October is all about 'Girls,Gold, & Glitz'.
Time to get all those girly bits out and get creating. I have been creating some more OTP projects for my granddaughter's with the new release from 'Kaisercraft'. Fairy Dust is a range perfect for the fantasy lovers with Fairies, Butterflies and all things glittery.

.
With a touch of Bling ,Kindy Glitz and lots of spray mists these little Canvases came up a treat. I have added the girls name using my Minc machine.

Entries for this challenge need to be in by October 30th and can be added via e-mail or the Inlinkz app on the side bar. I look forward to seeing your projects. I will be back with lots of Retreat news and Mel will be in to share her take on the challenge soon. Until then
