So Much Fun!!!

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Welcome to November, and my first post for this month. I can't believe we are only a month and a half away from Christmas...I'm not sure where this year has gone!!! It is crazy!

The photo that I have used is a funny one of Jo, Anne and I at the Cocoa Vanilla Retreat in Coffs Harbour in May. We had a sensational time...and have made so many beautiful new friends (can't wait to see them in May 2019!) 

By the way HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Jo (for yesterday)! 

We all hope you had a wonderful day and were spoilt rotten!

Here is what I have come up with this month....it's a very busy layout!!!!!

As you may be aware all of the DT are using the papers by Creative PL. Such a bright funky collection...perfect for fun photos!

I actually started this layout by cutting out on my Silhouette Cameo the flower cut file and then backed each petal of the flowers with one of the patterned papers. This took forever...but I love how it turned out.

Then I started on my background...I needed to make it busy so that the theme of fun was created in my project. Just the black cardstock was a good background but it wasn't lively enough for the theme!

I started with the Kaisercraft template which has lots of tiny little dots, it is called Spotty. I used this with the Heidi Swapp Metallic Texture Paste in Teal and Pink.

I then added some Colour Blast Paste in Envy through the template Epi de ble by Carabelle Studio and finished with Colour Blast Paste in Lipstick through the Darkroom Door Polka Dots Template.

It was important between each of these layers to let them completely dry. I then used some watered down white paint to splatter.

I used a variety of the patterned papers behind the photos and then used a black patterned paper to matt. I also matted the photos in one of the black patterned papers.

I created a little pocket for my journaling tag behind the patterned papers. 

So I have, 

1. Fun ~ my photos are definitely fun and I have used the Heidi Swapp Puffy Stickers for the 'So Much Fun' title.

2. Flowers ~ I think I have this one in the bag!

3. Five Embellishments ~ 

* Chipboard - several pieces -  #happydays by Dusty Attic, Chipboard bracket from my stash; 2 Crafty Chipboard Circles Set 2 - Laugh circle

*Sequins from the Cocoa Vanilla Love Always Bits and Pieces 

* Flair by Just Add Flair

*Scrap FX Silhouettes - circles

*Cotton mesh - coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide

Apologies about my photos...it didn't matter what I did today...they just haven't turned out so well!

Hello and welcome back to another layout here at Scrapbookit! I hope you have all recovered from your retreat hangovers and were able to complete lot's of Layout's at retreat.

I really missed not being able to go but I did manage to find a small amount of time to do some scrapbooking of my own.

The photo's I have used for this layout are some that are 11 year's old, I have been wanting to scrap them for a very long time but hadn't got around to it and I also hadn't had the right paper for them. I was very happy with how this layout turned out and was so glad that I finally had a layout with these photo's of my daughter Rahni and one of my best friend's little boy Jackson who were born 8 weeks apart.
Here's my layout!

I have used the Kaisercraft collection called Hide and Seek. This month I have used it on two very different layouts so it is very versatile.
I have started my layout off with some watered down tim holtz distress paint, I have then used some colour blast paste through my cute little heart stencil randomly all over the page.

 The rest of the page I have used a lot of the patterned paper and then embellished with the stickers from the collection as well as the collectible's.

To finish my layout I have added a quick doodly border and it's finished.

Fun times!

Hello!

My turn up on the blog this month, I had a lot of fun with this challenge and I cannot wait to see what everyone has come up! 

This is my take on Mel's challenge layout.

This month I have used the Kaisercraft collection called Hide and Seek. This range is such a gorgeous collection and I have used it in several different ways this month as you will see with my second layout a bit later on in the month! 

To start my layout I have used a piece of black card stock and then cropped

a piece of the patterned paper and stuck it down, I have used some Colour blast paste in envy and a Kaisercraft stencil to add some texture, I have cut out some circles using different paper in the collections to make some embellishments, I have also added some pieces out of the matching collectibles as well. 

 My title was from some Heidi Swapp stickers and I have also added some geometric shape chipboards which I have inked with some stayoz black ink and I have then added a layer of glossy accents over the top! I really love the shine that this gives the chipboard. 

I hope you have enjoyed my take on Mel's great challenge for this month, only a few weeks until retreat, I'm SO upset that I can't make it this time but my family commitments need to come first!

Hello Beautiful Girl!

Hello

My turn back up on the blog this month, I have had a lot of fun creating this layout.

Here it is.

I started this layout by using a sheet of Kaisercraft Black Cardstock, I have then used my circle punch and punched a whole lot of circles using the  Echo Park Imagine That paper pad.
I randomly glued them down over half of the page, I then used some ColourBlast Paste in Bling with a Kaisercraft heart stencil.

The title was from some little diecuts that I had in my stash, I also punched some tiny hearts and scattered them around the page and I have also added some cute little flowers from Uniquely Creative.

I also decided when making this layout that I would make a little secret journaling space which you can see below.

I AM a cheeky devil.

Good morning 

Welcome back to Scrapbookit, hope you have time to grab a coffe and join me as I share a couple more projects I have created using the Simple Stories 'I AM' range.

Firstly is a cute page using a photo of Zahli and the wonders of Snapchat filters, don't you just love these fun photos.

For my background I have used some Colour Blast Paste ' Deep Water' through a stencil, I sprayed some muslin with some Prima Color Bloom. I have then added some stickers from the range as my cluster.

Secondly I completed a page with a Selphie photo which I don't do very often I must admit. I had just had my hair cut and coloured and wanted to take a photo of how the hairdresser had done it, ( because I can never get it to look the same).

I purchased a new die cut from Sizzix that had theses great stars and ribbons in so I wanted to use them on a page. My large stars are little shaker pockets with the off cut stars in side. I have added some stickers to my title card.

Well there you go a little bit more inspiration ideas to share, I hope you get a chance to get some scrapping done and maybe even use a selphie.

I would love to see some more entries in this months challenge, it's a beauty set by Mel. It's not hard as she has given you so many options to add to your page, go on have a go!

Adventure.

Hello!

I have recently enjoyed a beautiful three week holiday in sunny QLD, I took a lot of my craft supplies with me and enjoyed some quiet time working in my art journal which was SO relaxing. Do you take your craft supplies away with you? I would love to hear.

Mel has set such a great challenge this month, I had a lot of fun working on this layout.

This is my layout.

To begin my layout I applied a coat of Gesso on my page with a mesh bag that you use to store onions in, this was part of my household item to create texture I also used some bubble wrap which I lightly applied some of the Dylusions Postbox red onto the page, I then used Dylusions paint in squeezed orange through a The Dusty Attic stencil, I made some marks with the Dylusions cut grass and splattered some mustard watercolour paint over the top. To finish  my background I used some Colour Blast paste in Steel and a stencil.  

I have used the Simple Stories Travel Notes paper range to complete my layout, I cut out various strips of paper from the patterned paper and added some strips of ribbon in there as well!

I added lots of different stickers from the sticker sheet and my title was cut out from one of the patterned sheets as well.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on this Kaisercraft die which I have added to the side of the left hand side photo and also another one behind the title. I love the look of these they are awesome!

Challenge fun.

Good Morning,

Hope you are staying warm on these chilly mornings, I am stopping by to share a few more projects I did at the Cocoa Vanilla Studio retreat.

How funky is this paper range?? We were so lucky to be gifted with a pack of goodies that Zoe from Cocoa Vanilla designed just for the attendee's of her retreat. So I thought I would have a play with some of it for a challenge. The challenge was to use a quote card and I loved this one. 

This layout is using some 7 Dots studio range, the chipboard is some new 'Dusty Attic' that has just arrived in store. I also have used  a new Dusty Attic  stencil with some Colourblast paste.

 Lastly today is a layout I did just to have a play with the new Vicki Boutin paints that I have instore. They are just awesome to spread on your page and went through the stencil with ease. My embellishments are from some new Simple Stories wedding range.

Well that's it for today, I'm off to do some last minute shopping for our retreat in 2 sleeps!!!

You Are... Some Kind of Wonderful

Hey Hey Everyone!

I am back again today to share another layout that I created on retreat!

As I said to you all of my layouts were rather simple over the weekend and several of them were scrap lifted.

However today's layout wasn't scrap lifted and it didn't use a Cocoa Vanilla range!!

Here it is...

I started with a piece from the Ella & Viv Paper Company paper. It is part of the Oxidation Collection Kit.

I added some Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint - Light Patina to give a more opaque background for my photo.

I added some Colour Blast Colour Paste in Dusty Charcoal, some various washi tapes and some black cardstock. One of the washi tapes was a new one that I have recently purchased at Scrapbookit. It is a Dina Wakley Media Washi Tape - it is awesome!

I added some different background stamps: Kaisercraft Clear Stamp - Chevron and the IndigoBlu - Ink Splats.

I added some white cotton and a ScrapFX Wordlet 'Some Kind of Wonderful' which I inked with some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide.

I finished up with a date stamp and adding the words "You Are..." in my own handwriting.

We are still in the process of building the website and adding everything to the shop however make sure if there is something that you want...send Jo an email...she would be more than happy to help you out.

I Love Dance!

I Love Dance.

Hello! Today I have another dance photo layout to share with you all, I have really loved using this Simple Stories Dance paper. It is SO bright and colourful and right up my alley.

I have used a piece of black Kaisercraft Cardstock to begin, I then cut out some of the words from the patterned paper, I used two different pieces of the patterned paper to go behind my photo then added some Kaisercraft Rhinestones around the perimeter of my photo.

On my striped piece of paper I have added some stencilling with a Kaisercraft stencil and have used some Colour blast Colour paste in Bling on the bottom left and top right corners. I have added a little cluster of embellishment's in the bottom left corner, the ballet shoes I have coloured with some tim holtz distress paint in pickled raspberry then a coat of glossy accents over the top, my little purple feathery dress is from JenniB Collection.

 Over on the other side I have cut out a filler card from the patterned paper and added the scrap fx chippy over the top which I have painted with the same Tim Holtz distress paint and added more glossy accents over the top. I love the shiny effect this gives to the chippy.

I have finished my layout with a doodly border using my posca paint pens in pink and yellow. I love the vibrancy of these paint pen's especially on the black cardstock.

Georgy Girl.

Georgy Girl...

Hello, I hope you are all well and have had a fantastic Christmas and New Year. 

Mel has set us a really great challenge this month, I have had a lot of fun working on this Layout of my niece and I, which was taken on the night of her Deb Ball. 

This is my Layout!

I was lucky enough to be able to use the 7 DOTS STUDIO Northern Lights paper collection. 

I started my layout with a piece of patterned paper out of the range, I then applied some gesso over the page, I added some Dylusions Paint in bubblegum pink then added some Colour Blast Artist Ink in Berry using the packaging technique. Next I got my stencils out and added some of the Colour Blast Colour Paste through my first stencil with Royalty, I then added some Gesso mixed with some mauve paint through the Kaisercraft heart stencil. 

For Mel's 3-2-1 Challenge We had to use three different colors,, I used pink, black, mauve and many more colors as well! I had to use two embellishments which I used some little bows that I made up using some twine, some small hearts that I have punched out and lot's of different tags and word stickers from the paper pack. The last part of the challenge was to include a song title or parts of a lyric, I chose to use the song Georgy Girl which is sung by the band The Seekers. I chose this as my title because it is actually what we call my niece Georgina. 

I stuck my photo onto some black cardstock then added several different patterned paper underneath it as well as the black tissue paper which borders the left hand side of my photo.

I used my sizzix with a Kaisercraft die to cut out my title then used some of the word stickers out of the paper pack to finish my layout! 

I added some doodling around the outside of my layout then I was finished. I hope you have gotten some inspiration out of this layout.
