# Big Sister...

Good Morning!
I hope you are all having a weekend full of Scrapping.
I know I will be.
Here is my second layout for the month of March.

This month I have been lucky enough to work with the Photo Play Family Ties Paper range. My first layout in this range was mainly blues and browns so this time I have done a layout using some pink, peach and blues.
I have used a lot of the pattern papers to make up my background, I have then added some stickers from the sticker sheet and some bling in blue.

This picture was of my daughter on her Communion day, I think the little gold doves tie in nicely with this theme. I have Inked them with some embossing Ink then I have added some Zing Embossing Powder in Gold they are so beautiful and shiny.
I then used some Colour Blast Paste in Singing the Blues with my Ranger stencils.

I  stencilled some hearts in the corners with my Kaisercraft heart stencil and some White Gesso, dried this and then added some Tinby designs metallic melts in Pink Sorbet, I was super happy with the result I got from doing it this way.
All of my words have come from the letter sticker pack, to finish off my layout I sprinkled some Heidi Swapp colour shine in the Citron!
I think this finishes off the layout nicely.

Where's the photo, Mel???

Good morning everyone and welcome to the first of my February posts.

I have set the challenge this month at Scrapbookit.
When I was thinking about it I wanted to include bright primary colours and being that my routine and life has changed a little in the last few months I wanted our challenge to focus on who we are and what is happening for us in our life right at this very moment.

So I came up with the mood board below...

This month Jo has sent me the gorgeous Kaisercraft Wanderlust collection. What a fantastic travel range! I love collecting the different travel ranges that come onto the scrapbooking shop shelves because I have so many travel photos from our family trips..so thanks Jo!

Here is what I have come up with...

Now you might be wondering...Mel, where is the photo???
No...I am not going crazy (however I am sure that could be debatable!) I decided that this month I wouldn't use a photo. I wanted the focus of my layout to be the journalling of our story at the moment.
The beauty of a mood board is that you can take whatever inspiration you want from it. I decided to try and use lots of little parts of the board to help me create my layout.

Here is a close up of the journalling...

To brighten the papers up a little I decided to use a variety of sprays, ink and mists.

I really made a mess creating this layout but loved every minute of it.

A focus that I really wanted to include in my layout is the image of the road. I interpreted this as 'Life is a journey' and I used the Wanderlust collectables to do this.

Another focus that I used was the word 'Dream.' I have used the Kaisercraft Clear Stickers - Delicate Words to do this. The word 'Live' in the above picture is from the same pack. Aren't they just gorgeous?

Here is a close up of the stencil, ink and sprays that I have used. The little tabs are from the Wanderlust sticker sheet and I have used some Tiny Alpha Stickers for the words 'Believe' and 'Courage.'

I loved using little quotes and reminders around the page to assist in sharing my story.
Just like these gorgeous Cosmo Cricket - Tiny Sticker words.

I have used thin wire for the tags.

The majority of the products that I have used came in my pack from Jo at Scrapbookit however I did throw a few little bits and pieces from my stash in too!

Here is what I have used:
Cardstock: Coredinations; Paper - Kaisercraft Wanderlust Collection...Wanderlust Paper Pad, Sticker sheet and Collectables; Mists - Prima Colour Bloom - Cobalt, Dylusions - Cut Grass and Postbox red; Ink - Distress Ink - Wild Honey, Fired Brick, Broken China, Peeled Paint; StazOn - Black Cherry, Jet Black; Stamps - Kaisercraft Clear Stamps - Script and Sketchy; moulding paste; Kaisercraft Quarters Template - Arrows; miscellaneous washi tape; black wire; Cosmo Cricket - Tiny Text Sticker words; Kaisercraft - Tiny Alpha Stickers; Red Alpha Stickers and Clear Stickers - Delicate Words.

Why not pop in or jump on to the online store and check out these awesome products yourself at Scrapbookit??

Looking forward to seeing your creations for this months challenge in the gallery.
