Remember.

Remember.
Hello and welcome to my second blog post for April. I have once again used the BoBunny Penelope paper range for this layout. The brown and blue colours in this paper range threw me a bit so I decided to add a little bit of purple to help tie all the colours in with my photo.
This is what I came up with.

This photo is of my husband's grandparent's at our wedding almost 15 years ago. They are both extremely special people and I loved how this photo went with this particular paper range, hence the reason why I used it.

I started with a piece of Kaisercraft cardstock, added another piece of cardstock over the top and tore the paper in a few places and added an embellishment under the tear. I then used all of the different patterned paper and tore them as well to create my background. I used my Kaisercraft die and stamp set to make some of the flower and butterfly embellishments and I then coloured these in using some Dylusions paint in the Crushed Grape which I also diluted down a bit.

I did some more fussy cutting of the blue flowers and then added some of the small Kaisercraft blooms and a purple felt flower.
I also scattered around some small wooden hearts and finished my layout with some purple splatters.
The Remember chipboard was from my stash and I painted it with the Crushed Grape paint and then added some of the Glossy Accents over the top to make it shiny, I love the effect this gives.

Family

Morning Everyone,

Who can believe that we are halfway through December?
Only 9 sleeps until Christmas!!!

This month our challenge here at Scrapbookit has been lots of fun. I love these recipe type challenges because there is not a lot of fiddling around with what embellishments that you have to use.

If you haven't had a go this month at the challenge the requirements are to include the following on your layout:

5 squares
4 buttons
3 flowers
2 arrows
1 circle

You have until December 30 to get your entry in!

Now for my layout....
I have been lucky enough to use 7 Dots Studio - Writers Block - this month. Such an easy paper collection to use.

Here is what I came up with for the challenge...

I have used, as I said, the 7 Dots Studio - Writers Block paper collection. I have used black wire to create my 1 circle, my 2 arrows have come from the awesome Elements sheet that comes with the collection. My 3 flowers are a variety of flowers from Scrapbookit, including Bella. I have used 4 little black buttons for the button component of this layout, including one shaped like a flower.
My 5 squares are a little bit tricky to see, they are in the top left hand corner. They are also from the Elements sheet and word sticker sheet.

I have added a few other bits and pieces as well including a WOW Chipboard, small chicken wire flourish. I have embossed this and then wiped some Liquid Metals over it. I have also stamped with some Liquid Metals - Metallic Copper...I just LOVE this stuff. It gives a gorgeous shimmer to your projects. I have spread some on the brown flowers and also around the squares. It is very pretty!!
The gorgeous little 'Family' chipboard word has been covered with the Liquid Metals. Then I used a black Gelato to add some depth to the word.

Here is a close up...

I hope that you are all organised, or nearly organised for Christmas. I will be back later in the month to share another project using this gorgeous range...let's hope that by then I am a little more Christmas organised :D

Until then, enjoy the festive season!

Live Life Happy Everyday

Morning Everyone!

I'm here to share with you two quick projects that I have been fiddling around with.

If I have learnt anything over the last fortnight it is definitely to...
"Live Life Happy Everyday"
We just never know what is around the corner do we?

Here is my first project...

I have used a tin from the yummy Rondoletti - Cafe Style Cream Wafer treats. I love projects when I have been able to upcycle. For those of you who have never heard of upcycling it is when you reuse items and create a better product.

I have clustered some different Kaiser Blooms together here. The larger flower I used a paint brush and some Kaiser Mist to paint my flower the colour I required it.

Here are some close ups of the papers and corner features I have created.

The products I have used to create and upcycle the tin were:

Simple Stories - Vintage Bliss paper collection; Kaisercraft Black Ink; KaiserMists - Turquoise, Winter Grey, Charcoal and Candy ; Kaiser Paper Blooms - White & Hot Pink; ; SP Washi Tape; Colour Blast - Colour Paste - Envy and Steel ; doily and Mod Podge.

I have also created a card using the IndigoBlu - Flutterby Stamp. After stamping the butterfly with Archival Ink I sprayed the butterfly with Kaiser Mist - Candy and Colour Bloom - Cotton Candy.

To create this card I used some tissue paper and Mod Podge to begin with. I have then layered some sprays - Kaiser Mists - Winter Grey, Charcoal and Candy. I also layered in some Colour Paste - Steel and Gelatos.
I have stamped the 'You Are Beautiful Inside & Out' from the Kaisercraft Sea Breeze Stamp Collection.
A quick and simple card to create!

I hope that you have found something today to inspire you to want to create this weekend.
Why don't you join in our monthly challenge?

This month all you need to do is create a project that has some reference to things with wings.
Here is a little prompt to help you with your ideas...

You have until May 30 to get your entry linked into the blog side panel or emailed to Jo.

Remember to Live Life Happy Everyday!

A Cottage Rose Project or Two

Hi there!!

Tania back again for my second share as GDT, with a couple of projects I made using some more goodies from the Kit  that Jo sent me.  I have again used the lovely Kaiser Cottage Rose papers, collectables and sticker sheet, and altered one of Kaisers Frames and with some of the left overs a card to match.  This was such a pretty collection to work with and Kaisers paper blooms, paper and lucky dip flowers suited it perfectly!!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Jo for having me as Guest DT for April and again for the gorgeous kit I received, I have really enjoyed it!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy crafting.

April Challenge with Guest Designer Tania

Hi there and good morning to you all!!

I'm really excited to be guest designer with Scrapbookit this month. I have been scrapbooking/crafting for almost ten years, just after my beautiful daughter was born and have been addicted ever since.  I currently live in Adelaide, Australia, with my partner of 14 years and our almost 10 year old daughter. I am totally addicted to all things craft and love to create anything from layouts to cards though my absolute favourite is for anything Off The Page.

I love to try new techniques and though I don't have any one specific style I would have to say the majority of my work is "feminine" and I love to incorporate mixed media into my work (love getting my hands messy) along with chipboard, blooms and plenty of bling!

I am thrilled to share with you the April Challenge for Scrapbookit along with my take,  hope you like it and can play along :)

SO here is my challenge for you, I would love to see you create a layout, card or even canvas using this awesome Page Maps sketch as inspiration and the Criteria is your project is to be about a favourite place!!

"Good Times"

I chose a photo of my daughter from one of our recent visits to the Werribee Zoo, we just love to visit there and go at least twice a year.....

I was lucky enough to get a gorgeous kit sent to me by Jo with Kaiser's new Cottage Rose along with some other beautiful products to use for my creations for the month!!

Well that's all from me, I do hope you can play along, would love to see your take on the challenge!!  I will be back later in the month to share a couple of other projects I made using my gorgeous kit.

Until next time, happy scrapping,

Tania xx
