Kaisercraft - Misty Mountains

Good Morning,

I hope you are all having a relaxing Sunday morning? I'm off to have a wonderful day with some friends at a local winery, but first I wanted to share some more pages I have done using the Kaisercraft range Misty Mountains.

Using some beautiful papers (even though they are purple), some Darkroom Door stamps, Green Tara flowers and the embellishments from the collectables pack this page came together and I'm happy.

This page is very simple but I thought it worked well with the photo. I have added papers from the 6' paper pad which have lots of gold elements to them. I have used a kaisercraft stencil with Colourblast paste to create my background.  The title and elements are from the collectables pack in the range.

Don't forget to join in our monthly challenge (details in the sidebar) , we have had some lovely entries so far. You could be in the running for a $30 voucher from www.scrapbookitshop.com.au.

Enjoy your week ahead and get crafty

Good morning and welcome to Scrapbookit,
today is the last post for October and there is so many exciting things happening.
So grap a cuppa and join in the fun.

Firsly I just wanted to share a couple more layouts that I created at our retreat at the start of the month. This month I am using 7 Dots Studio range 'Hazy Days', I love the grungy look of this range but it has been a beautiful background for my daughters Deb photo's.

I have used Colourblast paste 'Bling' through a Tim Holtz stencil, added a FWAB peasrl flourish, some Green Tara beautiful lace and from my stash I found some Martha Stewart paper flower. The title is from 2Crafty which I sprayed with a Kaisercraft mist.

I wish you could see the beautiful shimmer of the ColourBlast paste's on this page, they are just perfect. Sienna, Bling, Leather and Deep Water are the colours I have used.

I have added some Indigo Blu stamps to the background and some of the diecuts and stickers that come with this range. Love this photo of our catch up with my 18 year old xx.

I'm back today to share a couple of projects I have done this month using the Prima 'Wild and Free' range designed by Frank Garcia, this paper pad has so many beautiful papers in it.

I just loved playing with these photos of my grandaughter, and this paper was so soft and feminine. I have used the new Darkroom Door Stencil 'Mesh' to put my ColourBlaste paste 'Punch' through and have added lots of the 'Punch' shimmer watercolour over my doily and in the background. I also used the Distress Oxide ' worn lipstick'  The chipboard is from Kinder Kreations which I sprayed with Kaisercraft spray, and the sticker is also from kaisercraft.

This is my second page I did with this range, and just love the subtle butterflies. The stencil I have used for my Colourblast paste 'Punch & Blush' is from Dina Wakeley 'Faces. I have added some more Punch watercolour behind my photo. Some FWAB pearls and Green Tara flowers and I was done.

Welcome to July everyone,
Well a new month and a new Challenge by our Guest Design Team Member
Judy Willey.

Judy has a great sketch challenge this month with the added criteria of fussy cutting, and either or all of the following additions
*stamping
*buttons
*ribbon.

 Hi,

my name is Judy and I am delighted to have been asked to guest design for SCRAPBOOKIT. I enjoy working with both textiles and paper and have been scrapbooking for about 10 years.   I live in a regional city in beautiful north Queensland with my husband, a keen sailor. We have 7 beautiful grandchildren who are the inspiration for much of my scrapbooking. Our nautical adventures are also a great source of inspiration
Jo has sent me some absolutely beautiful goodies to work with and I have had so much fun creating my layout and a card.

Judy has used the 'Australiana' range from Ultimate Crafts which includes papers and postcards, also some acetate stickers from Kaisercfraft.

Here is a beautiful card Judy created adding a Green Tara flower as a centre piece.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful projects Judy, you  can enter into this great challenge by creating your own project and adding it to the Inlinkz in the side bar or send me your entry at joanne@scrapbookit.com.au

Entries close July 30th.

Have a wonderful week and we will be back to share some more inspiration with you soon.

February Challenge

Hello everyone and welcome to February,

A new month means a new challenge for us to get our mojo flowing, and this month Mel Field has set us a fantastic mood board to create from.
With this challenge you can grab any part of the mood board that inspires you to create a layout, a card or an OTP project.

Here is Mel's Mood Board:

Okay so this month I chose to create with the new Kaisercraft 'Shine Bright' range which I found to be so versatile to use with many of my photo's. For my challenge LO I focused on the word LIFE , the colours and the row of houses which I recreated with an older stencil I had. I have used a captured moments card as my title, some 'Dylusion's' spray and some of the collectables in the range for my embellishments.

Here is my page:

Here is another Layout I have created grabbing the inspiration from Who are you? : Using lots of flowers from GreenTara, ManorHouse and Kaisercraft. A flourish from AFWAB and more of the collectables.

Lastly for today's share I have this page, which is a different style. I have used more of the captured moments cards as the mounts for my photos, Kaisercraft acrylic words, and WOW chipboard which I have embossed to give it a matching colour.

I hope I have given you some ideas to help you get crafting, don't forget entries for this challenge will be due on 28th Feb. Make sure you come and visit the blog often to see what the other DT members have come up with from Mel's Mood Board.

If you are interested in attending our scrapbooking retreat in Harrietville on the weekend of March 13-15, Deposits must be paid for ASAP or you will miss out.

Happy Scrapping

Let the Good Times Roll

Hi everyone, it's Cindy here, thanks for joining me today.
I'd like to share with you a layout I have created with the March challenge in mind.... the challenge was set for us this month by Guest Design Team Member, Mary Bennetts.  Mary has set a great challenge for us; to create a layout using texture, layers and a title using a song or quote, and some stamping.

Following Mary's challenge brief this is what I came up....

I created my layers using the gorgeous Graphic 45 Couture Collection (Stunning,Gorgeous and Classy) I loved the colours of these papers, so nice to work with...

To further enhance the layering I included a tag and doily
to give the photo a little extra pizzaz I used some fashion trim from Sullivans (isn't it great to add some bling).... this close up also shows the stamping on the Green Tara paper petals, and some of the texture I created with the Scrap FX Petal Pattern Stencil and modelling paste...

I followed along with the brief finding this great Scrap FX title "Let the Good Times Roll" the perfect song title to go with my photo!!  This close up shows more of the texture created with the modelling paste and Petal Pattern Stencil.... don't you just love that texture....
This view also shows the stamping in the background as well.... for all of the stamping I used my favourite script stamp, Darkroom Door's "French Script", everyone should have this stamp in their stash....

Don't forget you can get all these great products from Jo...

Well that's it from me today, except for a reminder that the Scrapbookit retreat is almost upon us, and I'm so excited that I will be teaching there... If you would like to join us at the last minute contact Jo to get all the details, on 0407058604. It's going to be a great weekend, I hope to see you there.

till next time
happy creating

Summer Love Letters

Well Hello! I trust you have all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope you all managed to have some time off too.
I love this time of year and so it has inspired this month's card challenge of 'Summer Lovin'.

Joanne has given me the cutest paper pad from Bo Bunny this month to play with. It's called Love Letters Collection and I just fell in love with the colour combination.

So here is my card......

One of the papers from the paper pad has the alphabet on it, so I cut out my letters for 'memories' using this. Plus the little I Love U. I've added gold stickers to the card and have also used my gold gel pen to write 'summer' and around the lighthouse(cut out using my cricut). I've added the Green Tara flowers and cut out flourishes as well.

Here is a close up.......

Don't forget to pop back to see what the rest of the Design Team have to share. Plus I will have another 'summer lovin' project for you.
Also check out all the classes at Scrapbookit. So much happening in Jo's new shop, it's very exciting!

Happy card making!
Janene
