Yay!! Its Friday.

Good Morning everyone,
Yay it's Friday and I am back to share some more projects to inspire you to have some 'Me' time and get some crafting done before the man in the big red suit arrives.

Our challenge this month is to scrap aproject with 1: A black background, 2: Photo's with NO PEOPLE, and 3: Just follow the Pagemaps sketch, to easy so why not join in to be in the running for a great prize pack full of the latest releases in store.

This month I have been creating with the latest range from Cocoa Vanilla ' Bohemian Dreams' so here are a couple of more layouts.

Although this page if fairly simple I just love how it turned out. With the background paper from the range it makes the photo the focus for sure.
I have framed the photo with all the wonderful word stickers that are available and then painted my title word with ColourBlast shimmer cubes.

My second page I have kept with the challenge theme and used a black background which really makes my flowers from a Prima template with ColourBlast pastes 'Deep Water and Snow white' really pop on the page.

I have added the frame, flowers and tag from the emphera pack and also added some of the stamped images as well. The new stamp set in this range is really sweet.

I hope you have enjoyed my shares and I look forward to seeing your entry for this month.

Have a wonderful weekend

Good morning,
Wow how chilly is it this morning, I hope you are all staying warm on this sunday morning?
I'm back today to share a couple of projects I have done this month using the Prima 'Wild and Free' range designed by Frank Garcia, this paper pad has so many beautiful papers in it.

I just loved playing with these photos of my grandaughter, and this paper was so soft and feminine. I have used the new Darkroom Door Stencil 'Mesh' to put my ColourBlaste paste 'Punch' through and have added lots of the 'Punch' shimmer watercolour over my doily and in the background. I also used the Distress Oxide ' worn lipstick'  The chipboard is from Kinder Kreations which I sprayed with Kaisercraft spray, and the sticker is also from kaisercraft.

This is my second page I did with this range, and just love the subtle butterflies. The stencil I have used for my Colourblast paste 'Punch & Blush' is from Dina Wakeley 'Faces. I have added some more Punch watercolour behind my photo. Some FWAB pearls and Green Tara flowers and I was done.

Wild & Free

Good morning everyone,
It's Jo here sharing my take on this months challenge that Jane has set for us all to get inspired.
This month I am creating with a great paper pad from Prima 'Wild +Free' deisigned by Frank Garcia.

With the contrast of light and dark colours in the kit I have created a page using several options from the Tic Tac Toe grid of the challenge.

I have used a black and white photo, two border punches from Fiskars which I backed with some Kaisecraft Gold paper, a rainbow of Colour Blast shimmer cubes watercolours, and I have embossed my chipboard from Kinder Kreations with ColourBlast 'Bling' embossing powder.

I have created my photo background using a page of journalling cards from the range. My title is using a Tim Holtz and a Kaisercraft Die from the gold paper.

Don't forget to join in our challenge to be in the running for a great prize pack, entries can be emailed to joanne@scrapbookit.com.au, linked from your blog or posted on our facebook page. The challenge closes on August 30th.

We still have some places available at our 'Spring Retreat' so if you would love a weekend away with crafty friends, contact me on 0407058604 for all the details.

Happy Scrapping,
Jo.

I want...

Good Morning,

Can you hear that? Yes the silence of no children as they are back at school and my time is mine again for a few hours a day.

This is the last post for the month and I'm sharing another page from our 'Sweet Peppermint' Prima range that the team have been creating with this month.

Even though it is Traditionally a christmas range the B sides of the papers can be used with any theme.

As you can see I got a little messy with my background on vanilla cardstock, using the artalchemy acrylic paint 'royal red' then using a kaisercraft mini stencil I layered with Colourblaste paste 'Apple of my eye'. Adding some chevrons from a 'Darkroom Door' stamp. The diecut's are from Kaisercraft and my title is from ScrapFX. The stickers are from the Prima paper pad.
So have some fun and get messy.

How are you going with this months challenge?? It's a great opportunity to get some of those christmas photo's scrapped, remember you have until the 30th to upload your entry.

Just a quick reminder that we are holding our 'Spring Retreat' from sept 29 - oct 1st 2017, so if you would love a weekend break away with like minded crafters a deposit of $75 is due now to save your seat.  All inquiries call Jo on 0407058604.

Jane is back on the 1st August with another fantastic challenge so make sure you keep visiting to join in.

Happy Scrapping,
Jo.

Merry Xmas

Merry Xmas!
Hi and welcome to my second layout for our Xmas in July month...

I have had a lot of fun with this Layout of my two boys enjoying Jobe's kindergarten Xmas breakup..
I have worked with the Prima "Sweet Peppermint' paper range.. This is such a great paper to scrap all of those Xmas photo's I'm sure we all have laying around waiting to scrap..
Jo has this paper pad available for sale www.scrapbookit.com.au, along with all of the other products that I have used on my Layout!

For my Layout I have layered some of the patterned paper and added some of the sticker sheet embellishments. My silver string balls are from Kaisercraft as well as the Beautiful Memory die-cut down the bottom of the page..

My title "We wish you a Merry Xmas" is also from the sticker sheet...

To finish off my Layout I have added some doodling around the border as well as some Xmas coloured brads and then some splatters and a few sprays of the Colour Blast colour spray in Love as well as adding some stamping with a few little Christmas stamps from my stash.

Are you interested in a weekend away scrapbooking with friends we are now taking bookings for our spring retreat, it's sure to be a great weekend! Little Moments Big Memories

Good Morning Everyone!

Welcome to my next instalment for this month...

Have you seen our challenge for this month? Who doesn't love a Christmas layout?
Our challenge is all about Christmas in July.
Here are the requirements:

1. Follow the gorgeous sketch by Susan Stringfellow
2. Your project must have the Christmas theme
3. You must follow the Letter Challenge component...include 3 elements in your project that start with the letter C (could be a title, colour, product, technique etc)

For my second project this month I have followed the sketch but have turned it to cater for my portrait photo and have taken out a few features. It has a Christmas theme.
I haven't really followed the letter C challenge at all...but could cover it off at a push.

I was very excited this month to have a little play with the Colour Blast Colour Spray that I got in my kit. I truly think that my whole layout is centred around this one product.

Here is the layout that I have created...

I started with the Colour Blast Colour Spray - Coffee. It leaves a gorgeous covering on the cardstock when spraying from a distance. The larger dots are where I took the lid off and splattered the liquid around. I also used the spray using the stick attached to the nozzle and spreading it along the edges.

I also enjoyed using the gorgeous 'Encore! Ultimate Metallic Gold Ink' I used this to ink the edges of the cardstock (over the Colour Spray), on the edges of the patterned papers and on my embellishments.

Here is a close up of the little cluster of embellishments that I added to my layout. Two cute little chipboard hearts, a gorgeous wire star and some cream twine.

I have used the Kaisercraft Decorative Die words 'Little Moments' for my title. I die cut it from a piece of card and then inked the words with the Encore ink.

I have also used the Encore ink to ink the Scrap FX -String of Arrows chippie.

It has been a while since I have used brads on a project. Just love these white ones!
They just finished off this part of the project.

How gorgeous is the 'Prima - Sweet Peppermint' paper collection?
I just love the colours in the range. So easy to use.

All of these products are available at Scrapbookit - http://www.scrapbookit.com.au/

Don't forget that we would love to see your take on this months challenge. Be sure to post your entry on Facebook, add it to the Inlinkz link on our blog or email it to Jo at joanne@scrapbookit.com.au.

Finally, have you heard that our next retreat is coming around very very quickly???
September 29 - October 1 in Bright.
For more information make contact with Jo (joanne@scrapbookit.com.au) - you won't regret it!

Looking forward to checking out your entries to our challenge!

Wishes

Good Morning,

As the sun tries to come out this morning after some very wet days for the first week of our school holidays, I'm here to share my take on this month's challenge that Mel has set for us.

This month the DT are all using the same paper range Prima 'Sweet Peppermint' from the 12x12 paper pad.
Although we are all doing the same challenge it's wonderful to see the different way we interperet it.
I have had this photo of my grandaughters for a couple of years and thought this was the perfect range to scrap them.

So I have followed the sketch (well I hope you can see that :) ) and of course it's christmas themed. For my letter C elements I have used chipboard for my title from WOW and hinges and I also have used a new product to the store from Creative Expessions, 'Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powder' Ancient Copper. This is a dry Mica powder that I have added  to area's that I have sprayed with water. It gives a great shimmer but also a marble effect.

I have used the Prima art alchemy acrylic paint 'Royal Red' to create my circle and paint all my chipboard, I have also added lots of the Metallic Gilding wax 'Vintage Berry to my page.

I hope you get inspired to get some of those christmas photos scrapped this month, our challenge ends on July 30th and you could receive a great prize pack just for sharing your passion.
You can email your entry to joanne@scrapbookit.com.au, add it to our Inlinkz tab on the side bar or you can even add it to our Facebook page.

For those that are on holidays enjoy, until next time
Happy Scrapping

Welcome to July!

Hello!
Welcome to July and a brand new month and challenge here at Scrapbookit!
I am so excited for this months challenge and I hope you will be too!
So let's not waste any more time and hop to it...

Our challenge theme this month is...

1. Create a project following the 'Christmas' theme and include the following as part of your project...

2. Use the sketch (below).
Thank you to Susan Stringfellow for allowing us to use her sketch for this challenge.

3. Letter Challenge
*Include 3 elements in your project that start with the letter C....this could be a product, the title, colour, technique etc.

Here is what I came up with...

As you can see my project is a Christmas themed layout, I have used the sketch (my layout is pretty true to the sketch) and my 3 elements beginning with C are: my title starts with C - Christmas Memories; I have used many ColourBlast Products and I have used the colour Cream!

I started with a piece of kraft cardstock and decided to create a mixed media background. I made a mess...but a very pretty one! It was lots of fun!

As you may be aware my favourite product at the moment is Colour Blast. I love all of the products but particularly I adore the Colour Shimmer Cube - Watercolours!
Onto the kraft cardstock I added some of the Bling Colour Shimmer Cube - Watercolour. You can't really see this gorgeous colour in the photo.

Then I added some of the Colour Blast - Fire Engine Colour Paste in random places around the background.

To make the cream coloured Gesso I added in some skin tone acrylic paint to my heavy gesso. After drying the colour paste I added the gesso in random places around the background.

I then altered some of the Colour Blast Colour Pastes - Fire Engine and Envy with some heavy gesso to lighten them. I used the Kaisercraft Mini Designer Template - Rising Bubbles and these colours to add some dimension into the background. Once dry I spread some Metallic Gilding Wax - Golden Light and Vintage Berry over the bubbles.

Once dry, I used some Grey Flannel Versamark ink and the Kaisercraft Clear Stamp - Music Script and randomly stamped in the background. I finished the background off with some of the gorgeous Fire Engine Colour Shimmer Cube - Watercolour to add some 'bling' to the background.

Now it was time to add some papers and other collectables to create and finalise the layout. I have been lucky this month to have used the 'Prima - Sweet Peppermint' Paper Collection. It is such a gorgeous range for all those Christmas photos! I have inked all the papers with a Encore! Gold Ultimate Metallic Ink.

I have created a circular shape using cream twine and have embellished using some of the collectables included with the paper collection, cream cotton, a gold wire star and some cream ribbon.

I used the Tim Holtz template - Arrows to create the arrows on this layout. For the colour I added some ColourBlast Shimmer Dust - Candy and the Fire Engine ColourBlast Colour Paste.

To enter our monthly challenge and have a chance of winning a gift pack, you can...
1. Enter your project on our Facebook page;
or
2. Send an email to Jo (joanne@scrapbookit.com.au)
or
3. Link your project in the sidebar using the Inlinkz linkup.

Entries are due by...July 31st, 2017.

We can't wait for you to bring a little Christmas to our challenge!!

It's All About the Boys!

Morning Everyone!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

I am here today to share with you the next layout I have created using the fantastic This Guy Paper Collection by Photo Play. This paper is so easy to use, there is so much to pick from. It makes doing "boy" pages really easy.

Here is my layout...

As I said, I have used the This Guy Paper Collection by Photo Play.
I have used some of the Kaisercraft Templates Cogs and Grunge with some moulding paste and some of the Colour Blast Colour Mica Powder - Espresso to add to the background paper.
I then added some Black Gesso through the Dusty Attic - Glass Stains Stencil.

I have used some Baker's Twine to create a feature in the top right-hand corner.

I have created a journaling card that sits behind the main photos. It is a great little way to hide your journaling, especially if it is not something you want to share openly with everyone that views your layouts.

I just love this section of my layout. In this paper collection, there are some great journaling cards. I have used some of these alongside my photo to create my feature.
I love the quote, which I changed to suit our situation..."The only thing better than having you as my husband os our kid having you as their Dad."

I used some Dusty Attic - Mini Cogs which I have coloured using ink and then I have highlighted it with Metallic Gliding Wax - Cast Bronze
I finished with a sticker die cut and a piece from Junkyard Findings Ignition Keys by Prima.

Hope you have enjoyed my layout today and it has inspired you to join in this months challenge "All About the Boys" Your project must focus on the males in your life. It must include metallic bits, some raw products (e.g. cardboard, hemp, cork, string) and a rustic element.
You still have time...entries close March 30th 2017.

Enjoy your week!

Forever Young

Morning everyone,
I hope you are enjoying your weekend? I dropped in this morning to share one more project I created using my pack this month 'BoHo Dreams' from Kaisercraft.

Wow I actually scrapped a photo of myself!! Something I do very rarely but like us all should do much more of. This paper with the Title 'Forever Young' has a bit of a pull at my heart as we lost someone special recently that will stay Forever Young because of that horrible illness Cancer. I also thought as I used this phot how nice it would be if we could just live life as if we were Forever Young. Just 'Imagine'.

I have added lots of texture by adding the new Colour Blast Mica powder 'Watermelon' to some Gesso and the Kaisercraft template. I sprayed some Sizzix die cuts with 'Coffee Kaisercraft Mist' and also added some Prima paint's.

Don't forget you still have until the 30th to get your entry into our challenge. Come on girls, you could win a great pack of goodies and be a GDT Member.

Our Retreat is coming up soooo fast, don't forget to share the word as we still have room for anyone who would like to join us. Oct 7-9 2016.

Happy Scrapping
Jo

Sunday, August 14, 2016

Morning everyone,
I hope you are enjoying your weekend, they just go past way to quickly don't they.
I'm back to share some more projects I created using the Kaisercraft 'Boho Dreams' range.

This fun photo of my grandaughters went really well with the peach colours. I have used a new stencil from Dusty attic to create the circle backgrounds. I have added some art Alchemy acyrlic paint (turquoise) and I also added some new Colour Blast Mica powder (watermelon) to some gesso to give my background some texture. The title is a Dusty Attic word.

With this page I have added some Dusty Attic chipboard which I painted with Colour Blast Mica Powder (cool mint) and some more art Alchemy paint( opal magic green-gold). I love the words printed on this range and this one is so true. My daughter and her best friend certainly do live, love, and take lots of pictures.

Well there you go, I hope you are creating something special this weekend. Don't forget to get your entry in our monthly challenge by the 30th August. It's so simple 'Free to be you'.
Also we still have a few spaces left for our October 'Spring Retreat' so if you were thinking about joining us for this fantastic weekend away give me a call on 0407058604 and book in now.

Happy Scrapping

~ Prima ~

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for popping by. It's Mel here and I have some more of the
gorgeous Prima papers to share with you today!
I just adore the subtle tones of these papers and have loved working with them this month.

Before I share my projects with you I just wanted to remind you of our current challenge.
Judy has designed this one for us. The challenge requirements are:

*Follow this sketch...

*Use some fussy cutting on your layout.
*Use one or all of the following on your layout...buttons, stamping or ribbon.

Why not get an entry in today??

So, the first little project I wanted to share with you is a card I made for my mum for her birthday.

I used the Kaisercraft 'Honeycomb' embossing folder for the background.

I just loved how this turned out. The papers were perfect for my mum as the Parisian style matched her recent overseas trip. I think she loved it!

The next project I wanted to share is my layout 'Seaside Playtime'

I have used the Prima Seashore papers. The background paper is 'Shell Shock' with three of the cards down the right hand side from the 'Sea Memories' page.
I have used the TCW Mini Organic Matter template with Tim Holtz Distress Powder - Vintage Photo to create the rock formation look behind the photos.

I have fussy cut some of the shells from the 'Shore Side' and some of the cute little stamps from the 'Sea Memories' paper.

For my title I have used 'The Dusty Attic - Blueprint Play'  and some of the Kaisercraft 'Mini Alpha Stickers - Latte'

I love how this layout came together.

Finally, I have one last layout to share. Using the same papers and products I have created this layout 'Tuross Heads'

I hope that you get some time over the weekend to join in our challenge.
I know I hope to do some crafting ~ what else do you do when it is raining?

Look forward to seeing your entries.
