I have used Colourblast paste 'Bling' through a Tim Holtz stencil, added a FWAB peasrl flourish, some Green Tara beautiful lace and from my stash I found some Martha Stewart paper flower. The title is from 2Crafty which I sprayed with a Kaisercraft mist.

I wish you could see the beautiful shimmer of the ColourBlast paste's on this page, they are just perfect. Sienna, Bling, Leather and Deep Water are the colours I have used.

I have added some Indigo Blu stamps to the background and some of the diecuts and stickers that come with this range. Love this photo of our catch up with my 18 year old xx.

Hazy Days 7 Dots Syudio

Welcome to another share of our wonderful challenge, set by DT member Mel.

This month we have a sketch to follow , which I love because it gives you a great starting point. We also have 5 other requirements to add to our projects.

1. U or You
2. Circles
3. Spray
4. Stencil/Template
5. Your Favourite Product.

So here is my take on the challenge

This month I am creating with the fantastic 7 Dots studio's 'Hazy Days' . This range is just great to create those pages that you want to look a bit grungy. I followed the sketch and have used different pages in the range. I have used a photo that has been altered with a filter from Facebook which I thought was a bit funky. My circles are a new product from ScrapFX and are a silhouette cardstock diecut, I have sprayed sections of my background with a 'ColourBlast' spray 'Saffron'.
Using my favourite product 'ColourBlast Paste' Leather this time, I have put it through a Kaisercraft template to give the splatter effects. The funky arrows are also from ScrapFx. My title is a lightbox letter that I have just glued in place.

Because we have just been to retreat I had the opportunity to get lots of pages completed, here is another page using the 'Hazy days'.

Lots of 'Deep Water' ColourBlast Paste, Lindy Stamp Gang sprays,ScrapFX chipboard and Kaisercraft Templates were used to create this page.
All available instore now.

So I hope you get some time join us for this months challenge. Entry closes October 30th.

I also used the Distress Oxide ' worn lipstick'  The chipboard is from Kinder Kreations which I sprayed with Kaisercraft spray, and the sticker is also from kaisercraft.

It's Jo here sharing my take on this months challenge that Jane has set for us all to get inspired.
This month I am creating with a great paper pad from Prima 'Wild +Free' deisigned by Frank Garcia.

With the contrast of light and dark colours in the kit I have created a page using several options from the Tic Tac Toe grid of the challenge.

I have used a black and white photo, two border punches from Fiskars which I backed with some Kaisecraft Gold paper, a rainbow of Colour Blast shimmer cubes watercolours, and I have embossed my chipboard from Kinder Kreations with ColourBlast 'Bling' embossing powder.

I have created my photo background using a page of journalling cards from the range. My title is using a Tim Holtz and a Kaisercraft Die from the gold paper.

I want...

Good Morning,

Can you hear that? Yes the silence of no children as they are back at school and my time is mine again for a few hours a day.

This is the last post for the month and I'm sharing another page from our 'Sweet Peppermint' Prima range that the team have been creating with this month.

Even though it is Traditionally a christmas range the B sides of the papers can be used with any theme.

As you can see I got a little messy with my background on vanilla cardstock, using the artalchemy acrylic paint 'royal red' then using a kaisercraft mini stencil I layered with Colourblaste paste 'Apple of my eye'. Adding some chevrons from a 'Darkroom Door' stamp. The diecut's are from Kaisercraft and my title is from ScrapFX. The stickers are from the Prima paper pad.
So have some fun and get messy.

How are you going with this months challenge?? It's a great opportunity to get some of those christmas photo's scrapped, remember you have until the 30th to upload your entry.

Just a quick reminder that we are holding our 'Spring Retreat' from sept 29 - oct 1st 2017, so if you would love a weekend break away with like minded crafters a deposit of $75 is due now to save your seat.  All inquiries call Jo on 0407058604.

Jane is back on the 1st August with another fantastic challenge so make sure you keep visiting to join in.

Happy Scrapping,
Jo.

Wishes

Good Morning,

As the sun tries to come out this morning after some very wet days for the first week of our school holidays, I'm here to share my take on this month's challenge that Mel has set for us.

This month the DT are all using the same paper range Prima 'Sweet Peppermint' from the 12x12 paper pad.
Although we are all doing the same challenge it's wonderful to see the different way we interperet it.
I have had this photo of my grandaughters for a couple of years and thought this was the perfect range to scrap them.

So I have followed the sketch (well I hope you can see that :) ) and of course it's christmas themed. For my letter C elements I have used chipboard for my title from WOW and hinges and I also have used a new product to the store from Creative Expessions, 'Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powder' Ancient Copper. This is a dry Mica powder that I have added  to area's that I have sprayed with water. It gives a great shimmer but also a marble effect.

I have used the Prima art alchemy acrylic paint 'Royal Red' to create my circle and paint all my chipboard, I have also added lots of the Metallic Gilding wax 'Vintage Berry to my page.

I hope you get inspired to get some of those christmas photos scrapped this month, our challenge ends on July 30th and you could receive a great prize pack just for sharing your passion.
You can email your entry to joanne@scrapbookit.com.au, add it to our Inlinkz tab on the side bar or you can even add it to our Facebook page.

For those that are on holidays enjoy, until next time

Family - Prima

Good Morning,

I'm back on this chilly winters morning to share another page I created using my 6x6 Prima 'Love Clippings' paper pad. This time I have used the 'B' sides of the papers which have brown vintage tones. These worked really well with the photo of our 3 children.

I have stayed with the Geometric theme of this month and have used the Kaisercraft 6x6 stencil which I used a mix of Colour Blast pastes Sienna and Leather. I love how these pastes can combine.
My title is a WOW chipboard mini word and I have used a quote cutout from the paper pad.

Although it is hard to show in the photo of my LO I have added some of the new Prima 'art alchemy' Opal Magic Wax and Antique Brilliance Wax. I have added it to the edges of my triangles and it gives a great aged finish with shimmer. The small black triangles are 3L photo corners.

Today I would also like to share my Retreat Class project, using a background of Black Gesso, and the Sienna ColourBlast Paste. I have sprayed my background with the Bling 'Shimmer spray, coloured some 2Crafty chipboard with the new Lindy Stamp Gang's shaker powder. My die cut is from NeatNcrafty. Added some Kaisercraft Glitter paperand edged my page with some guilding wax to finish it off. Thetitle is a Kaisercraft die cut. All these products are available instore so if you are interested send me a message and I can help you out.

Don't forget our June challenge runs until the 30th, would love to see how you interpret our Geometric, Chipboard and 6x6 criteria.

June Challenge

Good Morning,

Welcome to June, yes already.
Time is flying by, we have had such a busy time here at Scrapbookit with another successful retreat with lots of laughs, great classes, and lots of projects completed by the wonderful girls that joined us.

It's my turn to set the challenge this month so I thought I would do something just a little different.

We all have those 6x6 paper pads in our stash for those cards we are going to make one day! Well I want you to use them up on your layouts, Yes only papers from your 6x6 stash, only Geometeric shapes and some chipboard are the requirements this month.

I hope you have fun with it :).

Here is my layout I created using the papers from the new Prima 'Love Clippings' range.

This paper pad has some beautiful 'chic' pages full of lovely flowers and my title 'Giggles' is from the alphabet stickers that are in the pad. My chipboard is from Dusty Attic and  coloured with new ColourBlast Paste 'Blush' I have used the paste with a new 6x6 kaisercraft stencil to create my lines.

Entries for the challenge close on June 30th and can be emailed to joanne@scrapbookit.com.au, added from your blog via our Inlinkz tab in the side bar, or you can upload them to our Facebook page.

Looking forward to see your take on my challenge,

Have a great day

Good Morning from Retreat

Good Morning everyone,

I am coming to you from our fantastic Autumn retreat today, 21 fun girls all with the same passion.
To have fun with paper and glue.

I am back to share a few more layouts I have created with the Cocoa Vanilla Wild @ Heart range.
There is so much in these packs that you can create so many projects all with a different feel.

Firstly I have this 'Happy Moments' of my two beautiful girls with their dad.

These layouts are fairly simple but with the range of embellishments available and the bold colours of the patterened papers it's easy to put them together.
I love all the butterflies in this range, and here I have used some Colourblast paste with a Dusty Attic stencil.

Well I'm off to have some more retreat fun, I hope you have a wonderful weekend and don't forget to join in our May challenge. Entries close on the 30th.

Cocoa Vanilla Wild @ Heart

Good Morning,
A new month, A New challenge and Jane has really set me a challenge this month.
But I think I conquered my fear of using photo's of myself (even though they are a bit quirky).
I have been playing with Cocoa Vanilla 'Wild @ Heart 'range this month.
As always Zoe hasn't disappointed with this beautiful floral range that has so many fun embellishments that are in the range.

For the challenge requirements I have used the promt 'I Wonder', I have used triangles and a tag from the moodboard and loosley used the same colours (well sort of haha). My mixed media element is the Kaisercraft thatch stencil, I mixed the new 'Lindy Stamp Gang's' Magical shaker 'Guten Tag Teal' with some Matisse Irridescent Medium, I also sprinkled some around and then sprayed it with water to give that darker colour.
My title is some Amy Tangarine stickers and I added some glitter dots , some quote stickers and a little tag from the range. My photo's have the chipboard frames from the range on them.

I look forward to seeing your take on Jane's challenge, don't forget you can add your entry from your blog via Inlinkz, email, or the facebook page.
Entries close May 30th so get crafting girls I want to se those Selfie's.

Enjoy your day

March Challenge

Good Morning everyone and welcome to March.

Well it has come time for me to set a challenge and I'm excited to see how you interpret the elements of this fun challenge.

So firstly it's 'ALL ABOUT THE BOYS' this month so your project must focus on the males in our lives. I also want you to add some metallic bits, some raw products (eg cardboard, hemp, cork, string) and add a rustic element.

Okay I hope you have fun with this challenge.
Here is my take on the challenge. This month I am creating with this awesome paper range from
7 Dots Studio  'Cotton Candy Dreams'.

Using the photos of my boy's year six graduation I have added lots of silver elements. The metal die cuts are a Kaisercraft die using 'Spell Binders' A Guilded Life metal sheets, I raided my stash of silver bits and have added some 'Matisse Structure' paint through the new Kaisercraft Mini template 'Woven'.

This range also comes with  sticker sheet's and tag sheet's which go so well with your pages. I have also added some hemp string. I also added some dimension with some Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylic paint 'Night' to create my circle and added to the flowers.

For my title I have used some corrugated cardboard letter that I sprayed with Distress Ink 'brushed pewter, added a touch of Lindy's Stamp Gang Spray 'Tibetan Poppy Teal' and some Colour Blast Paste 'Dusty Charcoal' to give it a rusted Patina look.

Well I hope I have given some idea's for the challenge and you join us this month. Don't forget you can add your entry from your blog via our InLinkz button, you can email your entry to joanne@scrapbookit.com.au or you can put it up on our Facebook page.
All entries go into our challenge and you could be the lucky winner of a wonderful prize pack.

Morning,
Jo here back to share another project I have done this month with the Cocoa Vanilla
Make a Wish range. I thought I would do a birthday layout with these fun papers. This month I also want to showcase the new mini templates from Kaisercraft which I have used on my page.

These new mini templates are an ideal size for adding random texture to your backgrounds. I have used some Dylusion's paint Bubblegum Pink and then over the top I have added some Colour Blast Paste Envy. I then heated it with my heat gun to create the bubbly finish. I then gave it a spray of  Heidi Swapp Gold mist.

My title is a Heidi Swapp sticker that I have run through my Minc machine to cover in gold, some washi tape I had in my stash and the tags are from the Make a Wish Bits and Pieces pack.

I hope you are joining in our fun challenge this month, don't forget all the product our Design Team use are available instore so if you would like to purchase any checkout the online store www.scrapbookit.com.au or if you cant find it there drop me a message.

And the Winner is ...........

Good Morning Everyone,
I hope you are enjoying your weekend, Sunday Mornings are the best!

Today I am here to announce the winner of Jane's November Challenge, Thankyou to all our entrants. It was a tough decision for our Design Team to make (sometimes I think putting the names in a hat would be easier :) )  but we have chosen this fun layout by:
Julie Jenner

Congratulations Julie , I will get your prize pack out to you asap.
Today I would also like to share another layout I created at our last crop day with the Couture Creations 'In the Wild' range. I loved the feathers in the background paper and really wanted to scrap this photo of Mel and I at our Spring retreat.

Friendship really is all those little things you share.  I have tried to keep it simple (which is really hard for me) using the Scrap FX stencil and the Colour Blast 'Bling' paste, some Colour Blast shimmer dust and my chp board title.

Don't forget to grab some 'ME' time in this silly season and join in our December challenge, entries close on the 30th. You too could win a wonderful prize pack in the new year.

Happy Scrapping

December is here!!

Good Morning everyone and welcome to our last challenge for the year.

I know it's a busy time of the year but hey sometimes we just need to take some 'Me' time and spend some time creating. What better way than to join our challenge and you could be our lucky winner of a great prize pack.

This month I have set a fun challenge:
Your project must include the minimum of the following, 5 squares, 4 Buttons, 3 Flowers 2 Arrows and 1 Circle.

I have been creating with the Creative Concepts 'Wild and Free' range and I couldn't go past these photo's of my Grandaughters at their visit to the Zoo.

To create my backgroud I have used a Kaiser stencil and mixed some Colour Crush 'Basil' with some gel medium to create my vine leaves. My title is a Heidi Swapp 'Minc' word, and my arrows are a Scrap FX chipboard pc. My buttons I made and added some twine for the jungle feel. The flowers are a mixture of Green Tara and Kaisercraft.

Here is another simpler layout I did using my Curio machine for cutting my title and a Kaisercraft Die for the vines.
